I've had a visit from the stork and he delivered my new baby

The maker has coated the whole thing with Aluminium powder too so after its painted, should it get any minor scratces etc in the red or brass paint then it will look like metal underneath.

I really can't wait to get trimming and painting I'll put up progress pics if anyone wants to see them.

hate to say it but you have just bought from a recaster.

they recast russelsculpts helmet and the statue.

that looks like it is Russ's Helmet for sure. That also looks like TMP's Neck seal, but in latex. And yea that for sure looks like the statue. I have seen this on ebay a few times. Do the pieces even fit? The statue looks like it would be to slim to fit anyone.

yeah it fits me fine, mind you I'm 6'1 and only have a 30in waist!

The neck seal is silicon and I agree it does bear a striking resembelance to TMP's, but like I said, I wasn't aware this was a recast. I have sent Russ a pm apologising if it is a recast of his lid.

I've never seen a picture of the statue to compare this to, Itried googling it but can't find an image so if anyone has a pic I'd like to see it.

yea. What can ya do ya know. Some times these guys are out there. I am still curious to see how this thing looks on someone. The proportions just dont look like they transfer well to me. Maybe some pics?

Ok some body post pictures of all the different suits that are out there for me please, also please post a list of differences in each sculpt .

All the suits I've seen so far just look like Iron Man. ( Except NightMareArmor's ) They all just look the same to me.

Please some one fill me in on how many suits are out there and how they are different.

the best way to look at this is to do the research yourself.. there are several thread out there with different sculpts and everyone will tell you that one is better than the other. It is really what you want. as far as my thoughts i believe that TMP makes the best IronMan suit out there. it is well worth the wait.. he is an amazing costumes artist. but there are others who disagree.. so if you want to know this knowledge you really need to do the research and figure out what you want..thumbsup

there is no question as to this helmet being recast off russels. I know this for sure as they bought the helmet from me on ebay and a bat belt buckle.

it was a new account so i couldnt check thier history so i emailed them asking what they wanted t for and they said they were collectors. within 2 weeks they were selling both batman belt buckles (altho they didnt know they were belt buckles) and these helmets.

its people like this that ruin this for everybody. us makers cannot guarrentte that our stuff doesnt fall into recasters hands. I personally will only sell something to someone if i can be satisfied that it is for thier collection but after that, they could sell it to anyone so I actually have stopped selling my iron man lid. I feel bad that because of my sale, russells helmet for ripped off even tho i checked as best i could and if TMPs neck seal has also, thats really bad as we all know the work that has gone into that suit.

Its a shame, it really is.

also, not having a go at sleeper at all, you cant blame the customer if they genuinly didnt know.
