Definitely interested. How many repulsers in a kit?

2 repulsors in the kit... I can sell a single repulsor if desired. Although, all the info and prices should be in the first post.

Thank you, I am glad you like it. You must have gone to AllCon. Did you meet me (Tony w/gauntlet) or my friend Stephen (full Iron Man suit)?

After going to a convention with this I can tell you that I would definetely recommend the audio amp. The kit by itself was super loud in the hotel room and in the hallways but once you get into a crowded area all the noise tends to drown out the audio a bit. It would have been nice to be able to crank it up in the crowded areas and turn it down in the hallways.

Ok so I know I said I would put up a video and I actually have one ready but I am going to hold off a little bit. You guys remember me talking about some of the features requested would require a genius and a microcontroller... well I have started a collaborative effort with someone I know to redesign my circuit to make it more compact, more efficient, and with more features!

So, I know you guys have been waiting patiently with anticipation for the final product. We will have something to show you soon. We are making some pretty quick progress on it. My goal is to have a run of 10 kits (20 repulsors) out with enough time for you guys to get these in your arms in time for the IM 3 premier.

Just to give you a few ideas of what we are working on.

• This thing will have a brain (IE microcontroller)
• The circuit will be much, much smaller than the previous circuit.
• The sounds will be stored on a removable memory card. This means that you will be able to change the sounds anytime you want to anything you want. (I mentioned before, going to a party or something and changing the sounds to a dog bark and a cow moo but anything is possible)
• We are looking into controlling it with an accelerometer or if not then a hall effect sensor.

Basically, this will be able to do more and do it better which I know is something that you are all interested in. So subscribe and stay tuned for more info.

Update Mar 15, 2013 - Progress on the redesigned repulsors is coming along nicely. We were able to take a video demonstration of our setup. It is linked in the first post. Some more parts are coming in next week so we should be able to do the final testing then and get the final prototype made soon after that.

I have also made changes to the description and the available kits. The price on the Superhero kit is changing slightly to compensate for the use of the micro controller and the audio amplifier. I was able to reduce the cost of the Li-ion battery upgrade option a little as well.

I hope you guys like it so far. We are tossing some ideas back and forth on the operation of the light effects... With the microcontroller we can do pretty much whatever we want so if you guys have any ideas you have been thinking about then feel free to run them by me either in a PM or just post it here in this thread.

I have an idea for the replusors (you know my idea about the servo kit about the amount of movement and how fast changing the sound respectively)... you already have the the LED's set to stay on if we hold the position, what if the sound then made the sound like when Iron Man is flying. So if I held it then I can be all nerdy and pretend I'm flying (holding my arms behind me) and it actually like it to. It might not be something everyone cares about so if you want to have that I will get over it pretty quick.

That is an interesting idea. I will have to think about that and how we might be able to differentiate when you want to blast vs when you want to fly.

Anyone else think that would be a cool feature to have?

I have a question do you have it set up to where the repulsor will charge up and not fire and when you lower your hand the repulsor will discharge like in the first movie?

Currently... no, however, we are looking into options.

Correct, these kits are for the electronics. They do not include any casts of the glove or gauntlet. I will have another thread for that. Follow the link in my signature and then look for my Tony Stark gauntlet and arc project to see what they look like.
