I'm still very impressed. If I was me making this and I found out I had to do that I would have been like "screw that".
Anyways, I plan on ordering soon. One question, are you selling the servo kit with this yet so I can purchase them together?

Yes, it is a lot of work... I haven't done it for profit... it has been a labor of love. I have been working (off and on) on this circuit for the past 2 years. Starting from no knowledge and building it piece by piece until we are finally at a level that I am very proud of and I want to share with everyone that wants one. I would have to charge a lot more money to make up for all the time I have put into this. However, it is a good thing for everyone that I have enjoyed this process. I knew how much work was involved going it on this. Basically, you guys are paying for the parts and for the time to assemble the kits and ship them out. You get all the R & D time for free.
Thanks for your comment and I will be selling the servo kits soon. See the first post on this thread for updated info and make sure to check the 'Discounts' section.
I am so excited to have this in my suit, people are going to be so impressed. Of course I will be giving you all the credit on the repulsers and servos.
Alright, well put me in the interested list and when you get the servo kit done I will purchase them together.
question: does it 'always' fire once the magnetic/reed switch is triggered?
ie: there is NO difference between the 'wind up/power up' sound and the firing sound? its all one (audio) clip?
can you put your hand up.. and make the charging/power up sound.. but NOT fire? and just power down when the hand is down (connection broke?)
(I like the mechanical aspect of the reed switch.. this added with use of an accelerometer or another sensor could be helpful)
thanks!
Even the sound files can be customized by you. With the programmable sound module you can make the repulsors activate any sound you want. There will be two sound profiles loaded on the repulsors when you get them. Profile 1 will have the power up/blast sound then standard power down sound and Profile 2 will have the power up sound then standard power down sound (no Blast). You will be able to switch back and forth between them and they are programmable.
hall effect/reed switch..... I meant the approach of using it how you did is what I liked.
how do you 'switch' from profile to profile then? (curious)..
this has to be done 'on-board' somehow? a switch? a parameter in a config file? is this something that is field changeable?
the comment about doing more was not aimed at YOUR hardware.. just a general comment about how the 'hall effect' sensor is used to trigger the power-up. (was thinking another sensors or input could then trigger the FIRE).. think of gesture recognition for example...
again not for YOU to do on this project..
and I 'do' understand what it takes to develop boards like this.. design, part searching & ordering, R&D time and code writing..etc..
I also assemble them myself too (re-flow..etc)
Also.. I didnt see how are the sounds user changed? microSD card? (I couldnt tell from the YT vid)
thanks!
Interested super hero kit.
Hey darkside, does this only include the electronics/leds or does it also come with the hand plate/replulsor glove?
awesome!..
thanks for the reply!@
(great project/product!)..
(oh..how does the user change the sounds? missed it!)![]()
hey Darkside I am interested in the Superhero Repulsor Kit combined with Servo Sound Kit... don't know if I have to PM you with this info or if this is okay
I did..
(why I asked about it)..
maybe I just read/understood it wrong..
the user can NOT change the audio file? (or they can?)
re-reading.. I think you mean they can only change between the two PRE-DEFINED audio profiles you program into the board.. yes or no?
I was asking about the user being able to user their OWN sounds? (user changeable)
not switching between the two profiles with the switch.. (the actual audio sounds used/played back)
hope that makes it more clear now.
thanks!.
