ps - yes, that kind of thing is what I had in mind when I mentioned that you could load a soundtrack on there. It won't sound the best coming out of a little 40mm speaker but still a cool effect. Just to give you an idea... even with all four repulsor sounds on the sound module it is only taking up 6% of the space so you could load a few songs probably.

voltage? mA needs/ for the board/leds..etc?


I ave been using Li-Po batteries lately.. work great.. and the uber small sizes really lend well to prop making.

I planned to motorize flaps with an arduino. It will also trigger AC/DC Shoot to Thrill song and Avengers Theme from a speaker in the chest. Want my suit be awesome And the ego of Tony is thicker than his armor

I ave been using Li-Po batteries lately.. work great.. and the uber small sizes really lend well to prop making.

Well these things can be powered by a range of voltage inputs but right now we are using 8v in with 3000mAh batteries (two 3.7v Li-Ions). I have looked at the Li-Po batteries but one thing I wanted was to be able to interchange the batteries if possible. That way if you are going to do a really long event or maybe you will be at a con for 3 days then you wont have to worry about the batteries draining on you. When the first set drains then you pop in the second set. This is more of a concern that I am hanging on to from the initial circuit design. Now that the circuit is more efficient it may not be a justified concern. Novalight and I will look into this some tonight.

Im assuming the plan was/is using a battery holder? (from the comment) (and not a 'battery pack', like in heatshrink..etc)

maybe just use a JST connector.. this way you can use Li-Po or Li-Ion, or Alkalines (or whatever) as long as the end pack has the JST connector..etc. they use whatever fits/available?

Is it hard to learn how to use the arduino, as far as the program writing?...i was wanting to do the same thing in mine as well and face plate open and close, and to have the eyes light up when the face plate closes using a light sensor...and a couple of extra tricks...but basically what i mean is it faily simple...i've watch about 15 different types of tutorials and at certain times it feels like watching peanuts...."whaaa whaaa wha whhhaaaa wha wha"..
