Limited Run Iron Man/War Machine Repulsor Kits - Now on Sale!!! 10/5/2015

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man/War Machine Repulsor Kits - Update 5/18 - Now Taking Ord

please sign me up for a superhero kit

You got it, added you to the interest list. Will move you to the run list when I receive your payment. Thanks.

Is it hard to learn how to use the arduino, as far as the program writing?...i was wanting to do the same thing in mine as well and face plate open and close, and to have the eyes light up when the face plate closes using a light sensor...and a couple of extra tricks...but basically what i mean is it faily simple...i've watch about 15 different types of tutorials and at certain times it feels like watching peanuts...."whaaa whaaa wha whhhaaaa wha wha"..

thanks...

I am making a LED eye kit that will do this... I might eventually incorporate it into a motorized faceplate kit.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man/War Machine Repulsor Kits - Update 5/18 - Now Taking Ord

IMHO... no its not hard.

Its really geared toward beginners in electronics.. step stones if you will :)

If you are just looking to 'get it done'.. and truly learn about the Arduino.. its even easier.

the Arduino has a HUGE community following and support. tons of free apps, projects, tutorials, articles..and free libraries to use.

everything (yes everything) has been done and posted about in either a video or tutorial of some kind. :)
even if it hasnt directly been related to prop building..the same code/tutorial is out there..

IM faceplate movement = learn how to use a servos
IM 'flaps' (same thing.. learn how to use servos)
IM eye leds/circuit (learn how to use transistors to drive arrays of leds

most of what you want has even been done 'here' in a 'community thread' with code and hardware to use..etc..

however if you have no interest in learning/playing... you can always just wait for someone to make a kit.. :)

Let me know if u do make a faceplate kit. That would be cool I've been looking for a way to motorize my faceplate .

Ok Guys,

The new video is up. Take a look:

Here is the link to a demonstration of the new repulsor circuit prototype:

I am now making an interest list and taking orders. Please post your interest and refer to the first post for updates and new information.

Hey man, well done and really nice kit.
I am interested in the exact one like in the video.
Which one is that please?

If you make a motorized faceplate kit in the next month or so, I definitely want one.

That is the crème de la crème. The Superhero Repulsor kit. I will be demonstrating all it's features and posting an installation video, so you guys know what is involved, as soon as I get the test boards we ordered from the manufacturer.

We shall see. One man can only do so much and I am not sure if Novalight is up to help me tackle any other projects right now. lol I have runs going on my arc reactor kits, my metallic wolverine claws (Origins and The Wolverine style), Wolverine bone claws, these repulsors, the IM3 compression shirts, and I am working on the servo sound kits. Plus I have a secret project that I might be doing a run on if I like the way it comes out. Did I get everything? lol I am feeling a little stretched. Oh yeah I did forget... I will be making casts of my gloves and gauntlets. So we will see how things go.

---update---

I also forgot about another 'secret' project I am working on that I think you guys will like... it kind of ties into the gloves though.

Don't scatter too much Dark! You still have the V2 files for the mark 7 to do, LD and HD :lol :lol

i was just thinking the same thing, on the mark 7 pep page a lot of people don't know about everything else he does...so i definatley give darkside, mad kudos for everything he does, i went to college for special effects, and people don't' realize the materials, time, trials and errors, and everything else that goes along with it, so i definitely respect darkside, and never feel like saying when is this or that gonna be done, cause i know first hand making props and special effects takes LOTS of time and dedication....

Oh God, you are getting me exited about the secret projects. Don't tease me like that.

LOL, your choice of words is impeccable. It is only a tease if you don't follow through. ;)

That reminds me of another project I am working on but I am not giving away any details on that one either. :p :D

Thanks. You are right about everything. Everyone just thinks this stuff is like the movies where Tony makes a Mk 1 out of a box of scraps and it works on the first try, lol. If you want a good looking functional prop then it takes a lot more research, trial and error, and it isn't cheap to develop this stuff plus the time commitment it takes to get everything working just the right way. If I didn't love doing this stuff then you guys would be SOL cause there is no way to make up enough revenue to justify the time, expense, and stress that gets put into these projects. ;)
