Iron Man pepakura helmets: Mark 42 43 Iron Patriot WM - PDF Links first post 3D print

Re: Iron Patriot - Iron Man Mark XLII Helmets pepakura - Links first post - Added PD

Thanks for the files Gimpee!

This is my first pep I've ever attempted and completed! I'm pretty pleased with how it came out, I think I did a lot of the cutting and sticking quite clean - if I do say so myself ;D It was SO hard to do it without the actual pepakura program as well! T_T
Oh, I've yet to stick the ears on as I was wondering, whether I do that now or after resin-ing?

I started a new thread regarding this pep and where to go from now that I need some advice on but I wanted to contribute some pictures to this thread too

Thread link here, please check it out and help ^^?

Oh and I suggestion, Gimpee, I think it would be good to have another support piece for the back of the helmet piece too, like there are in the middle parts with the 3 bridges, I find the back piece to be kind of squeezed in a little in-comparison without a support.
But great files otherwise :)!

I recently made the mark 42 but i printed it on my mac so it was a little too small to fit on my head and so i found my moms old pc and tried to reprint it out and it was bigger but idk enough to change anything. Does anyone have any suggestions or know if it is? thanks

So 2 weeks ago I finished my full first pep, which is the post above with Gimpee's MK42.
And today, I've finished the Patriot too! This one was much harder, especially since the faceplate is in 5 pieces (if you don't put the eyes in it's 5, if you do, it connects the top and side pieces making it a 3 piece faceplate)

I think it looks pretty good, but the back seems *really* straight...hmm...not sure if it's meant to be like that, but hopefully I can fix it at a later stage.

Thanks again to Gimpee for some great files! :)

P.S. Excuse the colours and words all over the Patriot helmet, it was my colour key code to match certain pieces up when I laid them out on the floor as I don't have the program infront of me.

These are some great files and I think people are going to be able to make some amazing helmet with this. I am just posting to let people know of a slight ingrain along the cheek bone on the mark 42 helmet. I noticed it when watching iron man 3 for the second time.

thats just the light reflection buddy theres only the grooves on the front of the faceplate and at the side of the eyes

Actually it is where the cheek bone folds out from.

There are several other moments in the movie when you see a dark line alone the cheek bone. But moving on from that, I did notice one more thing about the faceplate. The silver bits on the cheek are actually a part of the face plate as well. This is the one scene where you see it attached to the faceplate. Every other time when the face plate is open it slides up to the inside of the cheekbones.

Gimpee, simply a wicked helmet. I love the way the faceplate lifts right up, should be a perfect helmet to motorize. Thank you so much for sharing! I'll be doing Iron Patriot helmet next for sure!!!

I downloaded the files from 4shared but for some reason they didn't print up all that printed was the page numbers. Also, I zoomed in on the print previews and there were no numbers on them to match them up. Its my first time doing pep so maybe I did something wrong in pep designer? Help please!
