Iron Man MKII Hybrid WIP

hey all my first topic on the forums here so i thought i would just jump right in with (yet another) Iron Man WIP.

so on to the good stuff!

im using pep files glued down to cardboard. once finished i'll resin the insides to seal it up so it wont melt in the presence of liquids. then bondo on the out side and primer and paint.

Bump: Im working on pepping the neck as right now and should be done with it in a few hours. here i go!

Did you trace the pep onto cardboard and pep it? If you did then that's amazing work for cardboard. That helmet is gonna come out great when it's done.

no - i tried to trace it once but it didnt work out so well - i printed up the pep files and used a glue stick to hold it in place

okay guys - heres an update

just finished the neck piece pep. some time before i move onto bondo im going to ad faux vertabre parts to the back of the neck that will stick out just enough to notice them as for the helm im going to use shark's mark VI ear parts. next to pep is the brace/collar peice.

this neck part is a MKII just without the collar bone parts

i know i still need to make the scoop part lol

There are so may aproach to making an Ironman peice. The last year the Ironman really have blown proportions. And More and more papercraft.

i'll be working on the brace to night - from here im going to use robo3687's chest/chest brace, cod piece, and MK VI hands/hand plates, (i assume its) Dancin_Fool's MK II/III arms, and legs. stay tuned!

BUMP: getting to work on the Brace and possibly upper torso tonight. Pics when im done! and should be up with the brace in a few hours - im figuring 4 - 5 hours.

alright just finished the Brace. i'll have the rest of the upper torso done by tomorrow or tuesday, depends on when i can get to the store and pick up some more supplies.

just finnished the chest - took well over 8 hours to do so im calling it a night (2:30 am here)

quick update - finished the back just this morning - took a few hour nap then im off to resin the inside (tho i dont really need to) to waterproof my pieces to date.

Update time!

i found a micro controller im going to use for LEDs, fan controller and faceplate automization

i've taken a few days off of my project due to work but i will get back to work on it monday once i gather some more cardboard

ok - been a while scince an update - have to redo the back part, and then do up some more peices, but heres a couple chests and helms done and ready for paint

ty - i have gone back with some actual cardstock that a friend of mine bought online for me so im going to attempt that as well as the cardboard ones im working on. prob going to wind up with a display suit once its all said and done.

Just a shame that Dungbeetle pulled his stuff from public - thats the price u pay for making PDO files for free use i suppose
