As long as the boot itself is universal I don't see any reason for another pep build and you'll probably want spares as this is the part of the costume that's going to take the biggest beating :cry so I say mould and cast all the way :thumbsup

another little update
first couple of pics our kid playing model:lol
then started on elbow joint but couldnt be bothered with filling shaping,so went down the foamboard (sintra) route,a lot quicker
will be no/little progess over nxt week or 2 :sick
im well happy with it so far.
be back with updates asap

iron man mk4 (wip) fingaz ,cod,l thigh,calve
well finally managed to get a bit more done
n this fat arse aint getting in that cod piece which i knew anyhow,bit like trying to get a square peg in a round hole:lol
brother cant get in it n he's a 29'' waist.
ah well so display it will be:confused
maybe take a mould n do a little cut n shut at a later date,or just make a bigger one.
left thigh n calve done.right calve needs a little tweek to profile of inner.
all comments n critique welcome

last time i had a waist that small was in my teens,seems like many moons ago.

Great work so far!
And yeah, I've run into issue with the codpiece as well. Just seems like it would work better in 2 sections or something. The issue I have is where to split it and still make it seem seamless.

Your work is absolutely amazing!
I'm about to start my own build with ROBO's files as well.
If you don't mind me asking, I believe ROBO's files are scaled for someone around 6'.
I stand 5'11. Do you think I need to scale the files, or did you?

at 5'11 i think you should be ok with the standard scale(depending on your build)
im building at standard scale n it fits my bro who's bout 5'10,although codpiece is too small,it's a 32'' waist ,he's only 29'' but the problem is getting it over your hips.easily solved at a later date.

the gold is: ford solar gold,took a hot toys mk4 to local paint supplies for matching n it came very close,looks a little pale in pics but aint.
got a little more done,still needs some more fettling but getting there.started chest n back a while since but getting the centre right was a ball ache so left it,get a fresh mindset n come back to it.
when done gonna split it and fasten it back together with 2 over centre latches on each side.
