I havent gotten pics posted yet but I have found a new way of doing the hinged areas to better allow movement without destroying the foam as much. I have completed the legs and will get pics posted shortly. Still gotta do the same for the arms. Any ideas for hiding the "butt" area better? Feels like that is the one area that is still greatly exposed. On a brighter note I talked to the theater manager at my local IMAX and they want me to come out and do the premiere of Iron Man 3! They are very excited about it as am I!!

Ok so for the new hinge setup I used the top of a plastic organizer and cut pieces to line the back of the hinge area on the inside of the legs. I shaped them with the heat gun and hot glued them in place. This will allow the load and tension of moving the legs when wearing the suit to have a stronger tensile strength by distributing it via the plastic and not the foam. This allows the foam to act primarily as an aesthetic piece rather than be functional and the functional parts are behind the scenes in the leg. See below in the pics.

I realize now that I never got any "good" pic's uploaded into my build thread and now that I am about to start a Mark 43 build I think I will quote the great George Lucas and say rather than abandoning my work I want to go back and finish the thread off lol. These were all taken at the Iron Man 3 premier at my local theater. They hired me to do the event and we used it as an opportunity to raise over $400 for the Star of Hope charity.

Great Looking suit! The build came out nice and clean! I took my Mark VI to the opening of IM3 as well. Loads of fun!
