Iron man 3 Mk39 Gemini sub orbital suit <pep files are done> WIP

Re: sub orbital suit WIP

I tried to make the helmet, and it just failed miserably.
The scale is too big for a start. The unfold is not satisfactory.

I am focusing on cleaning up the 3D and added more details to it.

Here is the finished suit, in 3D-rendered.

Next is to convert this to pep (again).

Re: Iron man 3 Mk39 Gemini sub orbital suit WIP

Wow. There is going to be so many build options soon. So many to choose.

Re: Iron man 3 Mk39 Gemini sub orbital suit WIP

All parts has been unfolded.
There are total of 15 files.
Here is the screen cap.

Some parts maybe better to use paper instead of foam.

Thank you for the comments.
I am trying to make the helmet using duplex carton (similar to cereal box).
Not sure how it'll turn out, To be able to do that, I have to unfold again (sigh).

Streetsoul,
Hmmm...read you must.

Re: sub orbital suit WIP

Very close to what I have in mind.
I imagine the hex is made out of ceramic instead of carbon fiber, just like the plates on the space shuttle.
In this case no need for profiled surface.

So I am going to make my own hexes and put it on the parts.
The effect is that the lines between the hexes is indented.

Damn this helmet. I made 4 revisions and unfoldings, and still not happy with it.

Jackie, that picture is actually same picture being repeated, but the close up really helps. I created a picture with all available helmet pics, as my reference pic. Is that okay to post in here?

So I found something and thought I'd share it with you first, before the rest of the RPF.

Real carbon fiber material!

Carbon Fabric - Patterned Styles - Wasp - 3k, 12x18 Carbon Fiber Fabric

Wait....what? :eek
That's great, but pricey.
For serious cosplayers, that'll be it.

Thank you for sharing.
