And again this is not my Armor build it is out of the movie molds (Stan Winston) made for production as a back up but never used on set...

I would tend to agree also. Glad you like it....I had to get rid of all that pale gold stuff.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this already but...Anyone wanna bet this armor is going to be stolen early on and modded to be the Iron Patriot? We already know this is going to be part of the plot of the movie. The armor in some places is very similar to the leaked pictures onset of Ironpatriot. The abs are the same shape, as well as the lines on the arms and the metallics on the inside of the elbow.

Anyways, I'm getting used to the beige...I think it will look better in some decent lighting. Hopefully we won't have to put up with it for long.

The tan color reminds me of a car my parents had that was the same color. I remember it was officially called "champagne." Maybe that's a fitting color for billionaire Tony Stark.

I do like some of the design. Specifically, it no longer has that "action figure crotch," for lack of a better term. And I like the smoother look, the thighs in particular are less blocky looking.

But I agree with a little too much of the tan color. The back actually has a better balance, the front just could have used a little more red. It also makes the helmet look out of place; it could have used some tan accents on the sides and back to better fit the new color scheme. It almost looks like the helmet was taken from a different set of armor, which probably isn't the intention. It doesn't really bother me that much, but I think it could have been tweaked. It is nice to see a little more variation from the previous movie suits. I liked the suitcase armor partly for that reason.

I'm thinking, like others, it's a version designed for a special purpose and will only show up for a short time, just like the Mark V.

Ok, I just got out of work and I decided to post the file to what I pepped. I'm new at the modelling and pepping (unfolding) so please forgive me if I made some mistakes. I can tell you right now that I forgot the chin indentation but that can be fixed.

The width of the helmet comes out to about 195mm so adjust accordingly. I think it might be a bit narrow though so I will try to make one a bit wider. Plus you can send me some feedback if I need to make any changes to anything.

For all the people that mark 8 is the only armour please red this description from IGN at SDCC:

"Marvel screened about 5 or so minutes of footage (twice!) for fans. The clip began with Tony Stark playing with his new toys. His thought-controlled armor as he only has to gesture at his armor and/or give Jarvis a verbal command for the pieces to come flying at him. (We saw a bit of this in action in Avengers, remember?) That bit ends with a hero pose of Tony in his new silver and crimson armor."

I know ign has an eye for details, and they specifically say "SILVER and CRIMSON". I doubt they would miss all the gold on that suit. Here's hoping for Marks VIII through XI! Which is about average per iron movie

I'll probably sound old fashioned or even stupid, but I hate how the movie and comic industry is morphing all of the suits and changing them around.
Spider-Man is black with red stripes.
The Flash is now dark red with silver.
Although there are other examples those 2 and this new Iron-Man came to mind. first.
Maybe it's just me.
