Interesting article on new xbox

Nintendo should reissue the machines if not the games. i mean they'd make a fortune considering folks are buying the cheap knockoffs for 50.00 each. i got a knockoff nes for 20. Its not the best but until i get a spare NES it's easier to hook up and if it breaks i'm only out 20.00. Just wish the knockoff snes was that cheap.

I have that one except it's red and black. Got it for $49 originally and I use my old SNES controllers on it. Plays both NES and SNES games.

Yeah i've been eyeballing that one. That brand seems to be the top of the line for knockoffs lol.

Nintendo could make a console that looks identical to the NES but have every game ever made for it built into it and price it for what a baseline Xbox runs and probably clean up. Then make an online access to other 16-bit games that people still make AND have a Meme replicator of old arcade games. Called the NES Retro or Flashback.

I wrote of the Xbox One after their big press conference unveiling, seemed like a waste of time and money for another cable TV box when I don't even get TV on my cable plan.

I might consider the PS4, but right now I'm focusing on upgrading my PC, at least on that platform I'm used the DRM and other crap.

I'm not quit ready to throw in with Sony until I here what they have in store for used games. They haven't really said one way or the other. If there smart they won't block used games and they'll win right there, but if Sony has proven anything over the years, it that they aren't very smart.

Yeah they could both end up being losers but it will take a lot for them to lose to MS at this point. Meanwhile Nintendo's happily plodding along as more people discover the Wii U.

As stated above, I'm just upgrading my PC... I like my 360 and use it every day for watching Netflix, Youtube & the Verizon app. But NO WAY am I going for the new X1... Especially after the whole NSA scandal..

"must connect to the Web at least once every 24 hours" - I can go weeks without going online with my 360 so... F U M$

"For Xbox games Microsoft makes, in order for titles to be swapped among friends, participants will be required to be on a digital list created by users for at least 30 days. All titles can be swapped only once." - :behave like if someone wants to borrow my car I need to send the car manufacturer a note with info about the person borrowing the car?! Seriously :facepalm what are they thinking? ARE they thinking?

"Responding to fears over privacy issues surrounding the "always plugged-in" Kinect, Microsoft says you can turn the Kinect off."
- same way my LCD tv turns off? By going into stand-by mode and NOT really turning off??? Even if that is true why would it need to be connected :facepalm The WiiU is looking more and more appealing, hell buying Sega Saturn sounds like a better idea.

DO NOT SUPPORT BIG BROTHER..... err I mean Microsoft :darnkids

Yeah not buying anything that needs Internet to function... that's what my PC is for.

Not even your PC requires an internet connection.

It's being reported that NSA has been secretly tapping into Internet company servers, including Microsoft, and collecting data. And Microsoft wants me to put a camera and microphone connected to the interet in my living room. No way, no how!!

U.S. intelligence mining data from nine U.S. Internet companies in broad secret program - The Washington Post

Sort of like the story about NSA in the tv show The Newsroom. Same reason I disabled the webcam and microphone on my laptop and why the Kinect is not that appealing.

I'm going to get me a backup 360 before they get rare from folks buying them instead of the new one lol.
