I assume the textured details are a rubber mat/padding that's inlayed? On the off chance anyone has seen this or similar do you know where I can buy something like this? Thanks!
I doubt it's a different material. Knowing how these things are made, it's probably just a different texture painted to look like a different material.
It's sculpted into the cowl itself and painted a different color, like the other two guys said. That particular cowl is just two pieces that are held together with magnets.
