Inglorious Basterds Props

Hello all,

First off I just want to tell you all how much I admire your talent. I'm just starting into prop collecting and just can't believe how much talent is present here.

I just got back from seeing Inglorious Basterds and noticed several props that would be great to form a collection with. The autograph napkin and Lt Raine's knife are two that spring to mind.

What other props will you be attempting? Have any of you begun a build? Any ideas for collection or display?

Obviously the movie just opened but I'm hoping this thread will grow as more members see it.

Thanks!

The invites should show up in the paper props forum eventually. Anyone for a bloody scalp? The ankle bomb with timer would be cool. Though I'd hate to have to explain it to any legal representatives. The milk bottle, champagne bottle, whisky bottle, and chianti bottles are cool. Are there any recognizable details on The Bear Jew's bat? Then there are the firearms... Was the gun with the title scrawled into it a Garand?

Aldo's knife will probably be the most recognizable prop from the movie.

The first thing that clicked with me was the glove-punch-gun thingy. You see a lot of very, very odd guns if you look into some firearm history; is there any historical basis for these?

Wow, that was a cool link. I'd seen a lot of those before, but some...that pepperbox pistol could be turned into a mean looking bounty hunter blaster!

Id like to see the cape hitler wears during that scene with brad pitt.
I'm also curious if anyone knows what type of cape it is.

A thought just occured to me...could this be the same knife that Pitt carried in Legends of the Fall?
You'd probably have to ask one of the ladies around here...I don't think any men would have seen that movie.

Yeah, that movie was unwatchable. It was like The Butterfly Effect in Montana. One ludicrous eye-rolling calamity after another.
