Hey everybody,

I think everybody knows that george lucas had dog named indiana who inspired chewbacca, and whose name inspired the name of the greatest action hero ever.

In the Last Crusade at the beginning when young Indy goes in his house and interrupts his dad he passes by a dog, is this the same dog as george lucas's dog? Didn't know if anybody here knew the answer.

George's dog was an Alaskan Malamute.

I think he grew up in Indiania also, so it's all interconnected.

I like to think that the character of Indy is taken from this poem.

There's a one-eyed yellow idol
To the north of Kathmandu;
There's a little marble cross below the town;
And a brokenhearted woman
Tends the grave of 'Mad' Carew,
While the yellow god for ever gazes down.

He was known as 'Mad Carew
By the subs at Kathmandu,
He was hotter than they felt inclined to tell,
But, for all his foolish pranks,
He was worshipped in the ranks,
And the Colonel's daughter smiled on him as well.....

Indiana the dog would've been dead (or very, very old) by the time of Last Crusade.
And Lucas grew up in Modesto, CA.
