Got my hoses attached and clamped. Like the size of the bellows. Just have to do a bit of hot glue clean up, and add mole skin on the bottom, then on to finishing my arms. This thing got heavy and a pain to put on ha ha

Thanks bud. Got the package, now waiting for my other shin symbols and finish holsters and call this thing a rap

I am coming to believe that this costume is never done… finishing Hamsterstlye's great chain holder and my bigboss armor.

That is true. I bought speakers but my bellows are heavy enough as its don't know if I'll put them in

Hey guys I had a question for you. For those of you that attached roller chain to your shin guards/tall boots whatever. I was thinking about sewing it on but that might not work since it's kinda heavy. Maybe leather strip running through it or screws on each side? What did you guys do? I'm wondering the best way to go about it. That's basically the last step I have so I promise I'll be posting pictures of my completed costume soon. I know I said I would before and didn't, but that's because I've been too busy working on the costume. I have taken progress pictures, but haven't bothered to upload them yet. I kind of want to complete it first. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I used tap screws to hold the motorcycle chains on. Then fastened my piston caps with copper wire.

Hmm zip ties yeah I didn't think of that, but that's a good idea. I'll test out some screws and see where that gets me since I have those already. Might have to get some ties if that fails. Thanks guys,

Yeah, not into the boot. Then just to be over the top I went under the chain with gorilla glue

I drilled through the edge of the sole that sticks out around the boot and fed the zip tie through that hole and then through the chain with the "buckle" of the zip tie hidden under the chain. I did that about every 3 inches around the front of each boot. Held fine through DragonCon. Could do the same on the leggings with the buckle on the inside.

It would be awesome for all of us Joe's to meet up at some central location at a event or comic con

Thanks, Hamsterstyle, for the 3D models! Especially the chain holder. Firing up the printer right now so I can throw my oversized cocktail strainer right in the trash!

An Immortan's work is never done. I need to do my own build thread on here at some point.

I'm still waiting on my last bit of leather for the shin guards.. but for the chain on the boot toe I put down a thick bead of hot glue ( with my wife's industrial hair dryer on it to slow cooling), quickly pressed in the chain along the toe, then went in every other space with a shot of glue to hit the first bead then on the under side laid down a nice bead to support it.
couple of laps around the house the chain is still in place.
