Immortan Joe costume from Mad Max, Fury Road

Wanted to also say thank you to everyone on this thread, Ein, logan74k, and TrapperBlu in specific :)
Was able to finish off (except for bellows) my husband's Joe costume for our local convention.

There are so many more accurate versions here than mine, all so very cool. My friend who has a killer Max costume keeps saying, "you're a younger version of Joe."
After Halloween, a friend tipped me off to Midwest ComicCon 2015 happening in 3 days. I had the day off, so I said, to hell with it. Stayed up all night on a new mask (I was very disappointed with my first finished version, but it sufficed: see above). I spent $3.60 sculpting the new mask out of a Dollar Store clearance mask, 2 24 oz. beer cans, and a ton of hot glue. I got there 5 minutes before contest sign up ended... I took first place male costume!
That win & the really amazing effort put forth on this thread by everyone & the hound dog noses for immaculate detail you all have demonstrated have really convinced me to continue to refine my costume. This won't be a one off cracked out for Halloween.
Thanks again. Here's a really cool photo a friend took when I was on stage:

Look what my daughter got for Christmas (modeled by my son here)!!

It is a massager and thumps violently. Can we modify the motor so that it "breathes?"

Either way, it is hysterical!

Merry Christmas to all "the Joes!" (And Joeanna!!)

Hi guys!

I just wanted to thank you all for all the great information in this thread! Ive decided that I want to be a femme Immortan for this years DragonCon and this thread has been invaluable in finding parts and pieces!

I think Im all good with the medals and chest ornamentation.

My biggest pain in the ass is turning out to be making the armour itsself. I dont have a vac former, so Im relying on a heat gun. So far Ive tried Clear HIPS and clear worbla. no success so far >.<

My issue with it is finding a buck to form over with a realistic waist and boobs. Im actually considering forming over a male torso and trying to re-form over something else to get room for me to fit in!

Epoxy inexpensive stainless steel mixing bowls to the male torso first? Or you could build up the appropriate areas with wads of fabric covered and secured to the torso with aluminum tape.

So, I have been out of the game for a while. What are people edging their armor with now? I tried suede, but it didn't curve that well.
