Hmm... the nearest Tandy is a couple hours away from me in Hartford, but I'm pretty stuck as far as getting the leather I need to complete the belt or even START the greaves, so it might be worth the drive.

Amazingly you can actually see the inside of that particular Tandy store on Google maps, so I have some idea of what to expect, but I'm not sure about the purchasing process. Is it like Joanne's? Do you buy the leather by the yard, or what? Do they have a minimum "cut" they'll give you?

Get cow belly or back. Then some rub on brown dye. It's like 10 bucks for a big sheet

anyone know what joe mask is the best and has a moving jaw?

Immortal Props' has an openable jaw, but not setup to sync with your mouth, which everyone seems to be interested in even though it doesn't happen in the movie. He's come up with a neat magnet closure so it can be closed or hang open. I'm biased so won't speak to what mask is 'best'. Depends on your budget really and how much you "need" to look like the character.

Tandy doesn't do any cuts as far as I know. You buy either scraps from a bin, whole hides, or whole sections of hide, looking at roughly 75-200 for the range of big stuff. Small stuff probably 30-40 bucks, you can get a few greaves out of a smaller piece.

Also...anyone have any leads on where to find the emblems for the greaves? Need all of them, the "500", "GX", "XL", and "110C". Any idea what vehicles these came off of? Otherwise, if someone owns these and wouldn't mind being paid to let me borrow these, I can make quick castings of them. Thanks!!

I have one of Ein's masks and I really like it. I think it just comes down to looking at them all and deciding on what you like. Logan's is also really nice.

Balderdash! Forget budget, if you want to honor the Immortan proper, there is no other Joe mask as good as Logan's! His is hands down the closest in terms of shape, size, proportion. It's literally like .5%-1% off from being fully accurate and most of that is it not having been worn by Hugh Keays-Byrne, himself. I whole-heartedly endorse it and whatever else he makes.

With some finagling his mask can be made to open, example:

+1 to Logan's mask. I have one, and the attention to detail is top notch.

I got a bunch of free bike chain from the bike shop down the road. If anyone still needs some I suggest going to a bike shop and I'm sure they have a bunch that they just throw away from fixing bikes

That is a good idea, I bet motorcycle repair shops would have some as well for the larger chains.

So i experimented a little bit. ^^

Even tough those 3D prints look great. I cant get over myself using Plastic.

So I read myself into Tin-Casting a little bit.

They still need some polishing and buffing but for the first try i'm very happy with the outcome.
