How to weather a Icons Obi-Wan saber??

I bought an Icons Obi-Wan saber about 5 years ago, not knowing how innacurate it is.

Is there a tutorial on how to weather it to look better or should I try to sell it and buy an MR or fan made?

BTW: What do these sell for now?

Here's a MR ROTJ Luke that I weathered myself last year :





It fell on the floor and was dented, so instead of trying to fix it I decided to go the opposite way and I weathered the crap out of it.

Black acrylic wash, steel wool, hammer and a few gentle rolls on the driveway made it look beat up and battle damaged

I sold it a few months ago, and it fetched a nice price on eBay :thumbsup
