Hey guys, I am working on a Vader prject in which I want to replicate Vader's look from ROTJ, right before the tosses the Emperor down the core shaft, and I need some help.

Specifically I'd like suggestions as to how you would go about replicating the look of Vader's Dome in these shots.

Any help will be apreciated.

Thanks

Paint it up nice and pretty and then put some sandpaper to it - rather rough grit - and go to town.

At least... that's what I would do to replicate that look.

And that's a nice shot of the stunt facemask. :thumbsup

Baby powder.
Also, you realize that helmet is one of the stunt helmets with the clear cheeks and neck. That's why the lip is fat due to the mating of the clear neck to the jaw.

.

I agree, baby powder, but then cover it in hairspray, it'll make it more durable but can be washed off if you change your mind.

Kraig

I know there are a lot of questions with SW reference photos as to whether something was originally white or grey, but in these pix the 'dust' looks grey to me.

I'd go with either fireplace ashes, (this is supposed to be some sort of charring from the force lightning after all) or maybe that grey fine powder that always seems to cover everything when I change my vacuum cleaner bag.

Either way Aqua-net is the proper fixative medium.
You can always dullcoat it later if you decide to make it uber permanent.
