HOT TOYS ADDICT COLLECTION

;) WOW! That looks fantastic.
I wish I would have though of that before I got rid of my quills :p .

Tom

:p Good idea on adding the quills I think I'm gonna do the same! so ten on each brow and lokks like four on each jaw bone and 2 under the chin?

Thanks Che-Che, but there is 15 quills on each brow, 4 on each jaw and 2 on the chin. So you were close ;)

I'm still working on this guy :p changes to the belts, adding a tri-laser to the plasma caster and I made a sheath for his blade.

Hey Jared, have you some quills left?
I'd like to make the same new face to my Elder!

Also, could you tell us how you put the quills on the P2 Elder face?

THX!
Fab

Well Hunters, I finished my custom P2 Elder. I want to give big props to Figure Master Les for the work he did on his repainted P2 Elder, It inspired everything that I did to my own.

To start, I of course did the Quills and added a little paint to his horns.
Adjusted the belts so they were correct.
Added a Tri-Laser to his plasma caster.
Added power cords to the plasma caster.
Constructed a sheath for his blade.
And I added a little ceremonious cloth to his right elbow (emergency a$$ wipe) :p

Hope you enjoy guys, I know that I'm really happy with the way this turned out.

Sorry Fab, I don't have any spare Quills. and they are so hard to find unless you buy the HT AVP Elder.

Hot Toys Predator - Quill Implanting

I used:
-Safety Pin
-Needle Nose pliers
-Crazy Glue
-Lighter (to heat the Pin)
-HT AVP Elder Quills

-Find where you want the next Quill, heat the tip of the Pin (in the blue part of the flame) and stick it in.
-Move it around a bit to widen the hole and leave it there.
-Trim the Quill to the length you want, hold it with the Needle-Nose Pliers and dip the bottom end into a SMALL drop of crazy glue.
-Holding the head in one hand and Pliers in the other, I pulled the Pin out with my teeth and carefully put the Quill in.
-You will have less than a minute to get the Quill the way you want it before the glue sets.
-Repeat with the next Quill.

NOTE: you have to plan where to start the Quills, It depends if you are Right or Left handed. I (right handed) worked from Left side to the right. Try to think 1 or 2 Quills ahead so the one you just finished is not in the way of the next Quill.

Cheers

Jared

How did you get the belts lower on his waist? what did you use to make the tr-laser, and what was used for the power cords? Oh just got the big red in today as soon as I'm done w/ my AVP elder and wolf I'm posting pics of my clan!!!! :p

Thanks for your interest Che-Che, most of the stuff i did is fairly simple.

Tri-Laser: One of my customs has two plasma casters, so I took one off of it, trimmed it a bit and glued it in place on the P2 Elder's canon.

Caster Power Cords: I recently bought a Full set of the HT Wolf predator armor for a custom project, It came with all the power cords that Wolf has.

The Belt Mods: The small belt without the skull, I dipped one side in Hot water and carefully stretched it out by hand. Then did the same for the other side. I did NOT try to stretch the Buckle area, just the sides.

---- The belt With the skull, I just used a simple little black twist-tie(with wire in it) to connect the holes on the end of the belt together. check the PICS.

Thanks for the great comments guys.

I wish it could have been higher quality but I used my digital camera.

Also tried to embed it in my post but there must be a restriction, oh well.

You've got a great set up Jared. Nice clean and organized... Unlike my cluttered mass of craziness. ;)

Killer swords too!

I also copied the hell out of your idea. Here's how the pred turned out.

When I first did it I thought the quills looked too light, so I mixed up some paint that matched the color of his teeth.

I don't know if it's film accurate or not but it made sense to me. Sorry for the crappy pics.

For anyone getting their Wolf recently and is interested in the mods I did to mine, here is an Updated post with pictures.

WOLF - Plasma Caster & Claymore Bandolier Mods

The plasma casters are tricky, from the factory they only move straight up & down with two pivot joints.
To modify them, you have to make a straight cut in between the two pivot joints (cutting the caster off). once cut off, you can turn them outward and use super glue to re-attach them the way you want (I turned each one 90 degree's). You have to be VERY carefull with the super glue so it does NOT get in the moving pivot joints or you will just break the Mod when you try to move the plasma caster afterward. Take a close look at the Caster's arm because the hoses/springs only attach to one side of them.

The claymore bandolier comes from the factory a little to short for me, sooooo:
I cut the strap down where it attaches near the Blue Vile and repositioned it a bit different so the Blue Vile would sit the way I wanted.
Then I cut the strap in half up near the shoulder area and to extend it I used a small piece of Black Plastic Twist-tie (the kind with wire in it).

Thats it, barely makes sense to me when I read it ;)

Thanks for the interest and comments
