I have a question, I'm fooling around with the electronics late tonight. Does the circuit board need to be placed upside down to power off the lights?

So when I have the cube standing upright with the circuit board on the bottom. It lights up and does its thing (looks beautiful)

But how do you stop it with out having to unplug the battery? Right now I just turn the cube on its side and it shuts off. Is that what we are suppose to do? Or does the cube have a sleep mode and shuts itself off over a certain time limit?

I'm also curious to when it comes time to charge this. Can I charge it with a cell phone charger? And how do u know when it's completely charged?

Wicked excited to see this thing glowing on its own, it's really magical!

I love the color you went with!

Thanks buddy! :thumbsup
Your choice is very nice too. :love And in my opinion more screen accurate.

Is this still available

I do not think so. 'nomuse' wrote this:
Not the news you've been waiting for.

I've finally had to face the fact that my health is going. I've been getting blood drawn practically daily and I've cut back on pretty much everything but work and sleep until they either figure out what's going on or.....

So I'm calling this project dead. Sorry to anyone who might have still been waiting. I can no longer promise I'll be able to complete anything.

that looks great!! i still need to grab that figure!
Thank you my friend! It was your built that pushed me to it ;)
The figure is pretty common - should be no problem to get one.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. You've probably figured it all out by now!

As shown in the various instructions and videos when the LEDs are on top of the circuit board power is flowing. Flip it so the circuit board has the LEDs on the bottom and the tilt switch turns off. There's no timer, sorry. All the pieces are cut assuming the circuit board is attached to the "lid" which sits on the bottom with the USB port along one bottom edge.

There's a charge circuit inside; it will handle pretty much anything that delivers 5v. I've charged off computer, cell phone charger, USB "power stick," etc.

There is a charge light, but it is pretty dim. When the light goes out the charge is at full.

The Kenobi is gorgeous! I wish I had had it more together earlier so I could have expressed my delight at seeing these things getting built and what people were doing with them.

I do have a couple of complete kits still in the box. Would rather not assemble any more myself.....(well, with one exception). But I've got access to a laser again, at least temporarily, and might even be able to run off enough parts to complete a few more kits. Yeah, I'm still sick, but there doesn't seem to be anything fatal going on. Aside from my blood glowing with all the tracers they kept feeding me (sadly, I still can't shoot web).

I'll keep people posted.

Hope everything is better in your life now, I remember you had some medical issues to attend to.

Hope you made out ok buddy!!

I’m sorry to hear about your troubles, hope things improve soon.

If you’ve got any lying around, I’m interested in a Kanan kit with electronics, if possible.
