Hey, middle of November...what do YOU have to show?

Working on a faceplate, Mark 2 (red one in picture), and a Mark 3 (cosld cast Alum one in picture). Slowly...spent all of last 2 weeks putting up some new drywall and painting the living room so they are being neglected, but I hope to get back to them soon.

Man that is incredible . Are they both from the same mold? The aluminum looks amazing. Nice work.

I think they will be nice if I ever finish them I wanted the Mark 2 & 3 to come from different molds so that there would be more difference between them then just paint and a couple of rivets.

Middle one (red) was made by Weaselflinger, the other 2 are from Fettster:thumbsup

When I first saw this I thought It was going to be something I never heard of. But when that guy said "Death Star" I was like "THAT IS TO SICK" totally cool. I'd really like to see more pictures , can we make that happen?

That's probably a stunt casting. They really like to use gas airsoft on the show, and all the TORCHWOOD handguns are 1911 "double stack" style gas airsofts, so, based on the double stack mag bottom, and the grip housing around it, that looks very much like a WE or western arms 1911 airsoft to me.

I don't think it's built off a real gun at all. The mag bottom looks similar but if you look at the line of the slide it isn't straight, and the thumb guard is way to big to be any gun, then the trigger guard does not match up with where that blow back spring thing cove should be and then there is the distance between the bottom of the slide and where the blow back spring housing should be.

I think it would just be less work for any one to make this from scratch. It could probably be done in one day. It's not that complex, unless it has to fire it just wouldn't make any sense to build it off an existing item.

I disagree. Here's a much better up close picture of the gun:You can see that the gun has been heavily modified (there is even a mini "scope" that is on the opposite side) but even the basic shape doesn't match up with a M93R. At least, I'm not seeing it. I'm not so sure it's a 1911 either.

Ah, I see. Yes, now that I can see a clear picture of it, it's definitely not the bereta. My apologies.

After taking a closer look at the gun I really think its based off a 1911, but completely a solid cast, not a modified real gun IMO

I agree with all your points. But I was thinking, or maybe just hoping, that was due to the mods they did and because the guns were then cast as a solid piece. But I agree, the only smart way to do it, that I can see, is from scratch, as I said in my first post. Finding the right gun would be nice, but it won't be functional at the end of the day if it is accurate. So, might as well just sit down and do it...

No worries. I've been looking at this costume and those guns for a while (since before the first episode featuring the character even aired) trying to figure it out. If anything, I was hoping you were right!

The second bag will be done by Friday. It will be more of a satchel, without the briefcase handle.
