C'mon dudes, pics and progresses here.

I'm in the middle of something. I'll post pics in a bit, but I wanted to get you eager-beavers some leeway.

I've got this in the works:

It's Captain John Hart from season two of Torchwood (Doctor Who spin off). I'm trying to get it all together for Gallifrey (a Doctor Who convention) in February. So far I have sourced the belts, boots, sword (and sword frog). I've only purchased one of the belts and the sword so far, working on getting the rest from ebay.

The jacket, guns and holsters are all custom. Luckily I have a seamstress friend working on the jacket. So far I haven't come up with a real good plan for the guns other than just sitting down and making them. Same for the holsters.

I've got a tread of what I'm working on right now. Can I link pics from that thread or is that considered double-posting ? I don't want to get in trouble, I really like being part of this community and I wouldn't want to jeopardize my membership in anyway. I really want to read the rules again but I'm having trouble finding them.

that is the coolest thing i have seen in ages. if i had that, i wouldnt paint it but make some sort of r2 production line display

Oh yes I agree. Painting beautiful shinny or machined metal is wrong. I'm pretty shore it's some type of sin. I'm not trying to get religious or anything but if you do paint that thing, you might need to talk to a priest or start reading the bible. That is just to nice for paint.

Really nice work I'll be posting some pics tomorrow.

I posted this on a couple boards already. Something my and I son are working on.

Zorg, how far along are you? Any electronics planned yet? I won't be doing any R/C until next fall sometime I imagine.

I did this little critter yesterday , Super sculpey and acrylic paint, and then covered with Latex.
It looks a little like a octopussy but with one big fly eye and a beek.
The jar is made for spices and is filled with water and ink

They're Beretta m93-Rs.

The grip in the pic posted looks like a 1911 style base gun to me.

I've got all manner of blasters waiting for me to finish them.

Korbin Dallas,
Blade Runner,
Pule Rifles,
and 1 star wars clone blaster.

doug, im just building a static droid, no r/c planned (i think), just some lights. been working on the legs and feet mostly past couple of months. spent a small fortune this year on parts. power couplers and ankle cylinders to source and i should be all done with the major stuff.

They have very similar grips, but those are definitely the M93-Rs. You can tell by the pointed protrusion coming off the top rear of the grip, the extra tall sight box, the clip protuding from the bottom of the grip, and the extended front trigger guard. It's same gun used as the base for Robocop's.
