Hey, middle of November...what do YOU have to show?

Love these threads!

36" diameter, semi-spherical, clear acrylic innovention in home interior lighting...

Man that is great. How much does it cost to pull something like that off ? Looks expensive, is that all real leather ?

Yep, it's made of black 9-10 Latigo. Very heavy stuff. I'm sewing up 2 different ones tonight. One is a briefcase, the other will have a carrying strap. Sewing the corners is the worst, as you're fighting not only the leather, but trying to keep the outer edges even.

This... Is going to be one of my favorite pieces, ever. I always wanted to build a Death Star, but never had the time or patience to do it. Especially something this size. I cannot wait til this one is done.

Much drilling I see...in your future... :lol

And I'd love me one of these briefcases, but they're way out of my price range :(

As for what I'm working on, its mediocre at best compared to the other projects in this thread...

They have very similar grips, but those are definitely the M93-Rs. You can tell by the pointed protrusion coming off the top rear of the grip, the extra tall sight box, the clip protuding from the bottom of the grip, and the extended front trigger guard. It's same gun used as the base for Robocop's.

I disagree. Here's a much better up close picture of the gun:

You can see that the gun has been heavily modified (there is even a mini "scope" that is on the opposite side) but even the basic shape doesn't match up with a M93R. At least, I'm not seeing it. I'm not so sure it's a 1911 either.

From the picture I'm looking at, I'd say it was completely made up and none firing. Am I right ? Has anyone seen it on the show? Do they show it fire and eject shells?

Well, I think they used SOMETHING as a base. But yes, the guns appear to be solid, static props. These particular guns are never shown firing on screen and the picture above is of the hero prop which doesn't seem to have any moving parts. It is entirely possible the whole thing is a custom sculpt but I would think that using an existing gun as a base would be easier.

That's probably a stunt casting. They really like to use gas airsoft on the show, and all the TORCHWOOD handguns are 1911 "double stack" style gas airsofts, so, based on the double stack mag bottom, and the grip housing around it, that looks very much like a WE or western arms 1911 airsoft to me.

Working on a faceplate, Mark 2 (red one in picture), and a Mark 3 (cosld cast Alum one in picture). Slowly...spent all of last 2 weeks putting up some new drywall and painting the living room so they are being neglected, but I hope to get back to them soon.
