I was so looking forward to this.
In my opinion the trailer doesn´t really tell us about the kind of movie we are going to get. Is it a comedy? Is it an action movie? Is it a fantasy movie?
The 2004 trailer:
The reboot looks to be really heavy on comedy. Where´s the mystery?
Ian McShane IMO is way too young to be taken serious as Prof. Broom, and especially as being HB´s father. The small glimpses at their relationship, i.e HB´s temper tantrum about being used as a weapon, Broom´s IMO cold explanation what he thinks is good for HB and finally the Lego remark), IMO show that they seem to have a bit of a complicated relationship.
And to be honest, I do not like the hair. In combination with the coat it makes HB look like a tramp. The character IMO does not look as clearly defined as it did in the older movies OR the comics.
I´ll watch the movie for sure, but I guess not upon release.

It just doesn't look good.
This does not look good compared to the previous movies.

Wow. Im really bummed about this. I was really looking forward to it and now after seeing that trailer, definitely am NOT excited. Hellboy looks like he is homeless, the makeup doesnt look as rad as I thought it was going to considering all the talent that is working on it, and the music for the trailer was awful. The tone looks all wrong, hopefully it was just a crappy trailer but who knows...

Oh dear......this looks like a parody of Hellboy.....there's nothing here that grips me, or even makes me go , "wow"..

Im sorry but Hellboy looks horrible. In some scenes it looks like the mask is crooked? He just doesn't look good to me. Maybe the face is just too rough. IDK what it is but when I see his face I cringe.

Yea, that seems like a fair way to describe my feelings too. Production value looks a bit low, and it'll probably fall more inline with the way a person enjoys watching a decently done high school play, where they rewrite some of the famous bits to throw you off, and go for pure schlock comedy.

am i the only one looking forward to all the lil trinkets we can add to our hellboy prop collections o-o. i want more relics to add to my holster belt xD
also i REALLY hope this movie is atleast 2 hrs long and explores the hellboyverse. thats the only problem i had for the first film. it didnt last nearly long enough for me and well.... the second film just felt like lotr with hellboy shoved in
