What sort of collectables do you love?

Hi guys - I'm really interested to know more about the type of movie collectables you love the most - what genre of movie - what type of collectable item (replica, prop, art, busts, figures, life sized) - best artist/creator/company who makes them. What makes you stop in your tracks and say 'I MUST have that!'

I'm trying to do a bit of research for a business we are starting next month (not a collectable selling business by the way) but related to collectables so this sort of information would be really helpful to us.

We love collectables but we really want to know what you love to.

Many thanks!

Simon

I was about to correct you on your spelling, but I did pause and consider that maybe I should "check myself, before I wrecked myself." :p

This is what I found, according to Grammarly...

"The terms collectable and collectible are often used interchangeably, yet they have slight differences. Collectable refers to items that are deemed worthy of collecting by enthusiasts, often due to their age, rarity, or historical significance. Collectible, on the other hand, is a slightly broader term that encompasses any items that people collect, regardless of their perceived value or rarity."

And in addition, according to an "AI overview"...

"Collectible" is the preferred spelling in American English, while "collectable" is more common in British English. Both can be used as nouns (referring to the items themselves) and as adjectives (describing the items).

So while I haven't answered any of your questions, I would like to say thank you for providing some small catalyst that resulted in me learning something today. :D(y)

There are a few members here who collect prop replicas.

I’ve encountered 4 or 5 of them, at various times.
