HCG Korben Blaster - it's here! (Photos/Review)

Bump. I'm a little paranoid of what to do if my blaster's electronics screw up.

EDIT: I did e-mail customer service a while ago, and they didn't respond. So I thought I'd get a response here.

Will you be contacting us for a shipping address? I only ask because mine has changed.

*EDIT*

Never mind, I went into my account and updated my address...duh.

SWFreak, my shipping address changed between the time I placed my order (when the product first went up on the site) and months later when they shipped. In the meantime, I updated my address in my account online. I also received an e-mail from HCG promising that they would confirm my correct shipping address before sending my order.

For some reason, my corrected shipping address never made it into my order, HCG never sent the promised message to confirm my address, and they shipped to the wrong place. Also, strangely, the package was not forwarded to my new address, even though I'm told it was shipped via USPS and therefore should have been forwarded automatically by Japan Post.

HGC Customer Service has promised to send me the new version of the Blaster, with the corrected electronics, when it becomes available. In the meantime, the original package is MIA.

All of this is by way of suggesting that you confirm that your new address appears on your shipping invoice (accessible online) and not just in your customer account info. If it doesn't, you might like to write to Customer Service in advance to apprise them of the change. :)

Cool that you're replacing the faulty units i'm not so sure about not asking for the faulty ones back though, i can see a lot of iffy guns being sold off on ebay soon.

Was this an initial order that arrived, or a replacement?

Initial order. My blaster hasn't screwed-up on me.. yet. I haven't requested a replacement. I purchased off an eBay BuyItNow (run by HCG), so I was asking if I still can request a replacement if my blaster's electronics have problems, like the others have had.

It was something that I dreaded, but my KD blaster electronics are playing up.

Some shots (I apologise for the bad quality):

The counter doesn't seem to change when I pull the trigger, either. Not like I'm going to see what the numbers are, anyway. Is this what everyone else is seeing on theirs?

Like the rest of ours, your batteries are draining down and causing the counter to act up.

Contact HCG for a replacement.

I contacted HCG and they said they would send a replacement once it is available (fast response, too), even though I purchased it from their eBay BIN. Thought I'd post this just in case anyone else who purchased from HCG's eBay auctions was wondering.

There you go, problem solved, get your replacement and then flog these circuits to the Predator guys for their wrist displays ! everyone happy !!!

So if I want to buy one from their website (since it says they have them in stock) I wonder if the ones in stock will be the old ones or the new models?

I suppose you can try e-mailing CS, but I e-mailed HCG before I purchased from their eBay BuyItNow, and they assured me that it would not be one of the old models, but surprisingly I received one of the old models; the electronics are screwed on mine. :wacko

I'm really hoping these replacements go through.

I'd speculate that only the old model is currently available, since none of us has received the corrected version yet. As soon as it's ready, HCG is supposedly going to send the new model out to all of us who purchased the defective original version.

Actually, I'd be surprised if HCG is still shipping that original model out despite the defect, as this just means they'll have to ship out more corrected versions later at their own expense.
