Haslab Ghost Trap & PKE Meter

Does Hasbro typically make any changes at this stage on the process? Looks like they’re pretty much finished and ready to go into production.
For the proton pack, they seemed fairly receptive to feedback and made some adjustments to the final production pieces.
Are these any different than the previously released PKE Meter and Ghost Trap? I have both of those already...
Yes, they are completely new pieces based on the Afterlife props. They are not repackaged Matty props.

Why no email's sent? I got the pack, which I love. I just put in for 1
Kit. As of now 9,500 backers!

I'm really sitting on the fence on this one. It's pricey (though not unreasonable) once converted to NZD. Then I've got to factor in the cost of a freight forwarder. Who is a good freight forwarder these days anyway?

This was such an easy one. This year I was already starting to plan on how I would put together a trap. Buying all the right parts, lights, electronics... Just for the trap I could see myself easily in the $250 range for something I felt good about. When you take into account the pedal too, it's easy. I can't wait to get my hands on one and see how it gets modded out.

Backed for one… I might re-up for a second later.

I love my HasLab pack like crazy, although I shudder to think what I’ve spent modding it, to date…

I’m in Aus so I can definitely relate. I’ve used MyUS.com for forwarding and it’s always been great but it’s not cheap. If they have batteries it’s even worse but I suspect these will just run off AA’s.
Do any of the local hobby, collectible or gaming shops ever offer these? I’ve gotten past Hasbro/HasLab exclusives through EB Games and Zing Pop-Culture here in Australia. They have shops in NZ as well I think?

Did anyone receive a confirmation email from HasLab, that a purchase had been made. It has me nervous,
as to weather it went through or not....

I hope they fix the trap pedal function to push to open, then push to close
I'm wondering if it would be easy enough to replace the momentary switch with something similar to a tactile switch. That way the functionality is accurate to the films.

That I don't know. Remember though, what is shown are just semi-working prototypes, not the final product, so hopefully they will correct it.

We have EB Games here. They don't have this listed on their page but I might just contact them to see if they'll get it. Failing that, maybe EB Australia ships internationally

Give ‘em a go. They aren’t listed on the Aussie EB games or Popcultcha sites currently either. They sometimes take a while to get the listing sorted out and up. They’ve done past Hasbro crowdfunds so hopefully they’ll sell this one as well.

Ouch.
AU$700. Currency conversion puts the HasLab backing cost at AU$470 so an extra AU$230 (US$150) shipping and markup.
That’s close to the price I paid for the full size Spirit pack and Hasbro Neutrona wand combined.
I’ll need to dig through my past Freight Forwarding bill and guesstimate what that would cost as an alternative.
It’s a much higher markup than I was expecting, based on EB Games past efforts.

Yeeep. That's why I'm hesitant on this. $US300 = $NZ509 + ??? shipping. $509 is probably actually a fair price but with the unknown for shipping...

EB Games Aus got back to me:
"We are unable to ship to any overseas destinations. In regards to NZ having this available, we are still working things out with Hasbro NZ for confirmation, but at this time it is only available for Australia."

So that leaves the door open a little. Interesting that he said they're "working things out with Hasbro NZ" as I had assumed that EB just bought the products directly from the HasLab page the same way everybody else does and then resold them, essentially second hand but new.
