HASBRO PROTON PACK 10/27

This was how they’re attached on there. Does this look correct? Didn’t have any issues with the other side. I saw some people put rivets on theirs so they didn’t have to worry about that happening, but hoping it’s just done up weird lol.

Threading is right, the issue is your buckle isn't bent as much as its supposed to be. That combined with your new, and thus smooth, straps lets it slip. Now why the other side has enough grip, I can't say. If you intend to distress the straps that extra fuzz might help it grab. Here's a picture of how the buckle is supposed to be shaped. Not sure if there is good a way to bend yours more.

Proton pack sits on the included stand just fine with an Alice frame. There’s a second row of defends to catch the bottom of the back when it has the frame attached. I recall people saying it wouldn’t fit the stand with the frame attached.

Great, thanks for the reply, hopefully I can get it figured out, maybe weather the straps enough to catch better.

Made lots of little upgrades so far. Wrapping the fake electrical tape with real electrical tape goes a long way in helping the look. God a new mask hose for the wand hose on the way, that rubber one is just way too stiff and makes the hose stick out, so I cut it off.

I'm slowly making my pack a bit more authentic. I've done the Rub'n'Buffing and electrical taping and now I'm looking at swapping out the cable looms.

The one which connects to the cyclotron looks like it's made from the inner cables of a network cable, wrapped in the spiral loom and then the yellow Techflex. The best image I've found was in one of the Tested videos on the Afterlife set:

I really don't like the moulded vacuum line loom and want to swap it out for an actual split loom with wires escaping. Here's one asavage's reference photos from one of the screen-used packs:

Got the new air hose piece to replace the super stiff rubber one on the wand hose. I’ll be throwing the leftover in the junkyard tonight. Need to dirty this up a bit first. Basically you gotta get hold of the wire inside with a pliers and pull a few loops out and cut it off to get the plain cloth ends. The wire is sandwiched between the fabric and a layer of rubber weaving inside.

Mine came today. Restrung a few of the cables to match the screen pack, and I’m gonna replace the yellow cable sleeve but it’s gonna stay mostly stock. All the electronics work as they should. Hasbro really hit it out of the park with this one.

Just received the wand. Gotta say I'm one of the happy few with no connectivity issues, and the hook works great. I'm a happy 30+ kids right now, it's the best thing ever.
Let's go with more mods.

Just wondering if anyone who has replaced the replica Clippard on the pack is willing to let it go? Id like to replace the one on the neutrona wand without falling down the real parts rabbit hole.

Is everyone happy with these or do you have to make upgrades to make them look less like a toy ?

They're honestly super impressive in person. The upgrades do more for up-close realism. Fortunately because it's such an intricate prop the eye isn't drawn as much to the individual parts.
Do they feel like a light plastic toy at all or do they have heft ?

Is there a defect With these ?

They are pretty heavy. I know not as heavy as fan-made but heavy enough that I don't want to try a heavier one.

There are far fewer defects than it sounds. Judging by some of the unboxings I watched, I am willing to bet a decent percentage of issues is due to user error. I saw one dude yank the ribbon cable until it snapped off, instead of using the little release notches. He didn't break it, but my god read the instructions.

You thinking of buying one or something?
