In reality the metal tip on the Hasbro Spengler wand isn't accurate to the wand tip in Afterlife anyways. Hasbro made the tip almost like a metal cone that covers the barrel tip whereas the Afterlife tip is the same as the original wand tips, the only difference is the LED bulb they used in Afterlife has a metal ring around the top and that metal is showing through the clear acrylic on the tip of the wand barrel.

HASBRO has announced that going forward, all their Spengler's wands will come with orange tips. The change is due to, with the release of the Proton Pack, the wand is no longer considered a display item. It will now be a role-play item & need to meet public & con standards.

Just wanted to give those who have pre-ordered one of the change.

I HONESTLY don't know how to feel about this from a COMMON FREAKING SENSE standpoint, but whatever.

Only a matter of time before ghostlabs42 has a upgrade and replacement parts for this, I wouldn’t worry about the tip

I'm still hoping someone will make a metal tip. I asked AJ Quick if they would do one specifically for the Hasbro wand, but he didn't seem to understand what I was asking for.

I have been, but when I asked him about a replacement wand tip it sounded like he wasn’t going to do one for the Spengler thrower. We will see!

The wand tip on the Afterlife Spengler wand is the same as the original wand tips which he already sells on the site.

yeah i dont think AJ will be selling them, but in the for sale thread there is a user "sponge face" his real name is doug who is a electronics genius.. he has multiple electronics kits, including some upgrades for the thrower.

once he irons things out he will have plenty of upgrades for this thrower, i right now am trying to find a local CNC shop that will cut me wood for upgrade grips.. no luck

but keep an eye out for dougs upgrades

I understand that, I thought you where saying you wanted AJ to make a aluminum replica of the wand tip we see on the tip of the Hasbro Spengler wand, and I was pointing out that the tip we see on the Hasbro wand is inaccurate to what we see in Afterlife, as the new Afterlife wand tips are the same as the originals.

If he made an aluminum wand tip that fit the Hasbro Spengler wand barrel that would be nice though!

Oh for sure! That's mainly why I'm so excited for them the start getting into people's hands. We'll definitely see some crazy mods from many talented GB's.

Have there been any updates? I figured after a month or so they'd give some sort of behind the scenes look at the process.

An acquaintance who had backed the recent Haslab Unicron mentioned there was about five updates throughout the production for that project. However Chinese New Year is around the corner and that shutters the supply chain and with present shipping issues as it is I don't expect to see our first update until maybe March.

No updates that I've heard of. I think I might try and forget about this pack by not checking threads or looking for updates so when the time comes around for them to ship, it'll be a pleasant surprise at my doorstep! (And it'll hopefully make the wait feel shorter)
