Harry Potter Props and costumes

Well it looks like I have been making my cards about 1/2" or so to small.
Fortunatlly I have them in larger format and have been reducing them.

Interesting that on the PS box bottom that there are about 10 stars to a side where the PoA box has approx 20 to a side, conferming that the PoA version is twice as large as the PS version.

Has anyone tried their hand at a Quidditch World Cup?

For me, currently, I'm looking for the correct folder. Heres a picture of the folder
QWCprograms.jpg

I think they make folders like that if I'm not mistaken, with the way the pages are connected to the inside of the folder. The pages are slipped in, not laminated and connected because the pages in the prop card from the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Trading Card Set is paper and not laminated so...I have a few ways I want to try and do the cover, spine, and back. And if I can find a folder like this. Everything else should be easy :)

Let me know if one of you guys are going for it too :thumbsup

I was just wondering if anyone has replicated the Sorcerer's stone from the first Harry Potter Movie? If not what could you use to make it? I know it is similar to the amber crystal from the Jurassic park props.

I was thinking about that a while back and than more recently when I did up the Gringotts letter.

It woud have to be done in clear tinted resin.
Like what some members here have done for the Kryptonite shards.

The darker dirt (rock) details can just be painted on.
Notice the flat area on the left.
That would be the top opening of the mold.
Looks like it even has a raised edge where the resin went up the sides.

Yeah, clear tinted resin could do the trick.
Does anyone have any links to the exhibits of these costumes...?
I've seen a few of the exibit photos but I'm looking for one of more photos..
-Thanks

About the paper for the Chocolate Frogs:

I finally got an email from Bright Ideas and in that email they said that the foil, found at this link http://www.brightideasmarketing.co.uk/acat...e_embossed.html, will no longer be stocked and the only way to get it would be to buy the 6 roll assortment. :cry I hate this because I was just about to start work on mine and I wanted all the supplys before I started (I one of the many who have to start something and be able to finish it or it will never get done :p ) so I guess its back to the drawing board then :unsure

Are you in the UK? They wanted 47 euros / pounds / currency-that's-worth-a-lot-more-than-the-dollar to ship a roll to me (I'm in the U.S.).

I'm DESPERATELY seeking that foil.

Any good reference pics of the Sorcerer's Stone (besides the two caps posted earlier)? It's hard to search for, since its title and the movie's title are the same.

Here is a little something I did a couple weeks ago.
one of the more obscure candy props that I had a really good picture of.

Couple fonts aren't 100% correct but close and I had to make up the sides and ends.

Okay -- that's AWESOME. I so wish these candies existed in real life...care to share the pic you took it from?

Not sure what site I found this on.

The color of mine is actually closer to this pic, it got changed a bit when I ran it though PS to lighten it.

I also did a cleaner rendition of the green things on the right.
