Harry Potter Props and costumes

Thanks for the links :D

I forgot they use to allow cameras at the WB exhibit. Wonder why not for POA  Anyways. I think some of these show us a few good things about these props we never knew. I forget the prop department puts loads on detail into everything even if its used for ten seconds :thumbsup

Does anyone have any insight on the big red sign? I'm having a bit of trouble with the fonts I believe it is the same font used on the train.

No luck with myfonts.com but I did submit a pic to there forums. I have had some luck with dafont.com with a few seperate letters so I think I'll have to mix and match to get it right.

Cool :thumbsup

Does the badger ever appear clearly in the movie?

This badge is baised on the 5th year badge as described in TOOTP. I also have one thats just the badge with a P on it as described in the other books.

There is a Japanese replica of the Best Boy (I think that's what it is) badge that Percy wears in the early films.

I believe Percy is wearing a Prefect badge in the first 2 movies that looks simalar to the Riddle one its just a different color. If there is a Japanese replica of any prefect badge I would be extreamly interested in pics or links.

That's the one, and now that I think about it, I think it was Head Boy, not Best Boy (is that the male counterpart to the flowergirl?).

I have one of the badges. I'll take pics tonight.

I received my Lituus.org chocolate frog today. I wasn't that impressed with it (although it does have accurate foil:

It started me looking for the foil (again) and I believe I found it:

The Lituus frog box has crisper looking art and is more solidly constructed (my other one's base is beginning to warp), however the assembly is poor and the box lid doesn't mate well with the base.

Here's a side-by-side of the Lituus.org and the wizard-store.com boxes (Lituus on left):

The wizard card on the Lituus was also made of nice thick cardboard with completely redrawn artwork:

Both sellers were a pleasure to deal with (although Lituus usually only sells through eBay for a bunch of $$). I think if I had to do it over again, I would have only bought the Wizard-craft box.

I was reading around on one of the links and on one of the movie prop sites it said the basilik(I think I mispelled that) teeth where made frlom dental acrilic, I thought that was interesting as thats what I poured my voldemort wand up in...

Hard to tell from the tiny pic but the paper looks promicing.

I'm in the process of improving the graphics on the Wizards card that I posted.
The castle was to fuzzy.

I wouldn't have known what it was if I hadn't been able to see it in person -- I noticed that the back was foil as well which made me think it wasn't wrapping paper.

Here ya go, this is the head boy badge the same one that riddle is wearing but ofcourse riddles is green. This is a pic of the Japanese Replica. I am not sure if the prefect badge is exactly the same or not.

Juno,
Can you measure one of the stars on the foil?
I'd like to use it to properly scale out the boxes and cards.

Thanks.
