Harry Potter Props and costumes

I'm not really sure how he did it, but that what he told me :confused

You could stamp out some stars out of a piece of paper lay it on the foil or paint or spray paint the stars on :confused

Vector based images make it possible to make infinite enlargements of an image. Something pixel based images can not do.

I'm going to use it to create stencil for the top of my Harry Potter trunk.

It is if you buy the correct trunk to begin with. I lucked into buying a restored one from a Chicago book dealer.

Just thought I would post a pic of some of the stuff I have been working on.
These are prototypes that may still need a few bug's worked out or fonts corrected.

I love it. What's the font on the Howler? Love the Honeydukes bag. Did you print the envelope or is it a stamp?

Thanks.

For the Howler I cleaned up a large hi-res pix that I found on line.
took weeks of clean up.
I posted it in the Free Paper Props thread, though it will have to be sized up a bit to print at 3.5"x 2 3/8".

The school seal on the white envelopes are printed.
I did up the pattern in photoshop than printed it out.

I still need to make the wax seals for them.
Have to figure that one out.
The printed seals on the hundreds of flying envelopes is diffirent and more complex than the actual seal on the hero.

I am currently working on the actual howler letter since I found a pic of it on line.
Once the font's are IDed on the School invite I will print that one as well.

Michaels.
they have 2 diffirent greens.
Also saw 2 or 3 diffirent greens at Target.

The actual bag is somewhat darker but like so many other colors, changes when photographed.

Heres the Howler label so you don't have to sift through 27 pages of posts.

Where did you get the Honeydukes bag :eek, I've been trying to find the correct color for over a year :p

The Isetan Department Store in Japan put purchases in replica Honeydukes bags (among others) during their Azkaban promo sale last year. I've seen them for sale on eBay. (I have a replica of a bag from another Hogsmeade store.)

BTW I was looking at the hi res pix of the Frog Box from HP4U.
The card inside (stars) is embossed.
the frosted effect is in fact small lines that stop where the stars are.

Also comparing the pattern of the PS* version with the PoA, tha PoA is about twice the size as the PS.
Which I already knew from other pix I have.

Where did you get the Honeydukes logo that was on the front of the bag? :) Could you post it here?

Those look great.

Thanks.

I spent quite a bit of time making it from scratch using tiny blurry images.
Than some one gave me a less blurry image that allowed me to tweek it some more.

Needs a bit more tinkering and than I'll post it. :)
