I might well be mistaken, but I doubt that book appeared in HP2. I have not seen it, and I cataloged every book I could find, even obscure ones like this:



Aside from that, this auction, plus the other items this seller is offering, sounds too many alarm bells. I think the seller is playing off the lion seal on the cover.

They will. It's just that nobody is allowed to publish anything creative about HP until Rowling finishes--just sticker books and calendars and the like. She just won't allow it.

After book 7, I expect HP to get the Star Wars treatment. (In terms of movie books at least; I don't know that Rowling would let fiction writers near her setting.)

for the mask i'm thinking a modified skeleton mask from a costume store....the hat is going to a bit trickier....leather (or more cost effectively - pleather) over some type of armature to keep the shape...i'm not exactly sure how to do it without it weighing a ton though....skott

The DE costume is cool, but it looks a bit too Klanish in profile for me to countenance wearing it for as a costume. Maybe if I lived in Europe or something...

RE the spoon. To this day I kick myself for letting this eBay auction slip through my fingers. Could have had it for a Buy Me Now of $200:

The Hogwarts silver was taken from a real set of silverware sold in the UK. The silver ones went out of production before HP2, so you can see some with black handles mixed in with the silver ones in the second film. Now both sets are out of production.

I suppose some enterprising soul could track down some used sets somewhere.

i actually think that's part of the point of the design...it makes the death eaters instantly frightening...whereas if they just wore black robes with the skull masks they might come off as silly...at the same time from a costuming standpoint...no one is bothered by people wearing star wars imperial officer uniforms at cons when they are highly evocative of nazi officer uniforms..skott
