Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

Just finished the book; I had to do some trimming to get it to fit, but turned out pretty good. I even gave it a very light mist of metallic spray, just to give the surface a very subtle sparkle (This effect shows up in the movie prop, although I think its just in the paper they used).

And here is the movie prop that someone posted a while ago!

What can we say...Fantastic!!!

Great work Elliot, it looks really fantastic.

Thanks for that Thumbhead, I'm slowly but surely becoming more proficient in indentifing fonts.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, hope to find a book thick enough to cover now.

@ecl - Your work is Fantastic, truly an awesome piece of work

Thanks all :) The fantastic beasts cover has become one of my favorites probably because it's so shiny haha!

Elliot, great work on your cover. It's begging to be printed out and finished on a book :D

Quite a bit of interesting props these days. Looking forward to seeing more.

as i feel that your breaking the rules by showing us what you have made and not putting it on for the forum to use

AcceptanceLetterfont.png
I've been produtive this afternoon :)
A font based on Harry Potter's Acceptance Lettter to Hogwarts. I scanned the acceptance letter included with the Harry Potter: Film Wizardry book, and created the letters, numbers and symbols from that. The font includes Capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers and some symbols.
download the font at: decat on deviantART

and Awseome work everyone! I'm going to make some more books- I found some 2012 hardcover diaries on clearance for $2 each, so I bought 5 of them and will give them new covers!

for Advance Potion Making Book Cover IV edition i put an 1" folded side to make smooth in while put in cover :) like ecl did to his Advance Potion Making Book

ecl - that book is AMAZING and it would quickly become my favourite too.

jhadha - great job on the Prophet! Definitely looks real. :)

decat - You have been productive! I would have never thought to use the book props to make the font. It looks perfect!

I've always wanted to do this book, just because it looks so good. It's not screen accurate, of course (don't even know if that book was made as a prop for the films) but it'd be neat for the bookshelves.

oliversnape: By any change could I get a high rez of your "Eldred Worple blood brothers: my life amongst the Vampires" before next week. Next week I happen to be cosplay Eldred Worple, everyone always forget who I am. would be nice to have the book around thanks

@ Decat - The font looks amazing, it's so generous of you to share all your hard work with us, thank you.

@ Oliversnape - Your cover looks great, kind creepy like a fogged up window, very suitable for the subject matter.

I've recently exchanged a few emails with the owner of wizard shack on eBay who I amongst some others thought may have taken work from this site and used to cover notebooks to sell on eBay. He has said that he did an age search for life/lies of Dumbledore and in the first dozen results was my back and spine linked on a tumblr style site, he thought it was original work and used it as a base to create his own, he even sent me a progress shot of the cover and I must say he knows his way around a graphics programme and I have to believe it's more than possible he recreated the work from scratch unknowingly using my work as a base. Also if I had 'caught him out' then he would have ignored my messages instead of replying. Unless proven otherwise I have to assume he is innocent. Sorry for the long post.

P.S: I believe Beechy bought a set of the Hogwarts Library style Harry Potter books from him and seemed very happy with everything.

Hey Norbert! It's unfortunately not mine; it belongs to this awesome flickr person here.

However, I have made a file with the font and colour matching as closely as I could. I *think* that the cover was made by fitting this print out over the entire cover of the booklet and gluing it. Then to get the roughened effect, I would cover the top with a light layer of white craft glue (the stuff we ate as little kids) and spread it unevenly to create the filmy parts.

Test this on a scrap copy though, as I haven't tried it myself. If it doesn't work, I can distress the file I've made and see if I can get it to match.
