Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

Yes shock o choc is from the wizarding world (they actually made it look reasonably close to the original, with the exception of some small details and the foil on the real one). I will be making a more accurately finished one with foil using this one as a template. The park does have quite a few versions of the various props but most of them are terribly inaccurate (not surprisingly, as they're made to be sold more as products and not necessarily replicas). But some are pretty nice! The skiving snackbox is probably my favorite from the park though.

Here's a pic of the wizarding world frog box next to a couple I put together using the graphics I scanned from copies of the original prop artwork, with measurements extrapolated from samples found in the trading cards that contained pieces of the original prop. The wizarding world products often come "close enough", but I wish they would release a series of more accurate replicas for people who want the accuracy. Noble Collection has done a decent job with their replicas, but they haven't done any candy stuff :(

I picked up a number of "goodies" from Diagon Alley while I was there, i ate the contents and kept the boxes, would anyone be interested in me scanning them up?

I got:

Fudge Flies
Pepermint Toads
Fizzing Whizzbies
Exploding Bon Bons
Every Flavor Beans
Glacial Snowflakes

I sent the star foil to ecl, let me know if you need anymore buddy :)

Thanks! I still have enough for a few more, but I'll definitely let you know when I run out! Really appreciate the help with that.

have you thought of selling the star foil? or more replicas of the boxes?

I don't have much foil left, but you could try contacting Snowfire about that! I may make a few more boxes, but just haven't had the time to invest in building more props. But I hope to do so sooner than later!

ecl Those are incredible, mate!

Great display and awesome work on the boxes!

Hope you're saving some room for one of these babies!

@Monsters_05 Well done! By the way - do you know from what Dover book are initials from PS and COS DPs?

Here is another reference for Tom Riddle's harmonica from Warner Bros. Studio Museum : http://hollywoodmoviecostumesandpro.../magical-harry-potter-movie-costumes-and.html Hoping it would help you...

Thanks for posting! this should help with replicating the harmonica. I've also be wanting to get a replica yo-yo. in the film it looks like its brown but here at least one side is red. I know the red and black yo-yo's were pretty common.

Here's a (not very good) screenshot:

Do you guys think this could be red and black but just look brown due to lighting?

Thanks for the compliments guys! Really appreciated.

If any advice can be given, that should be to never settle with the reference you have if you can find better to improve your replicas.

The most important part, but also very time consuming, in graphic design is researching and finding assets to work on you own version of the prop you want.

@Monsters_05 Yes, it's true :D To begin my work on Prophets I've spent about 400 hours looking for references, fonts and illustrations used on original prop. Thank you for saying you use CorelDRAW :D If you didn't say that I would still use Adobe Photoshop for DPs :) It so much better working in vector than in raster.
