Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

Looks good, very DPish.

By the way, I've always wondered if the Daily Prophet Header is an actual font or a graphic or maybe even a vector drawing. Ive never found the font and it is pretty distinctive. Has anyone else had any luck?

Hi Barney,

I think it might've been created by minalima, nathanthenerd over at deviantart created an awesome font file called Mugglenews thats really the next best thing Mugglenews by ~nathanthenerd on deviantART
the font for 'The' is p22 Operina Fiore which is a commerical font but can be found for free here:
Download P22 Operina Fiore Font - Download free fonts from µfonts

Hope this helps.

P.S. What font are members using for the body text and headlines, I know its been mentioned but I can't find it now

Is anyone willing to replicate JK Rowling's illustrations for Beadle the Bard? I want to make a storybook using the public text and her pictures with the movie cover.

*Edited*
I found them here

Thanks Rubeus and Elliot.

I sort of suspected it was a "custom" font.

Elliot hope you had a great time at HP Wizarding World in Florida, still waiting for a few photos...:lol

Charmedone - there's definitely a photoshop brush of those available somewhere. I have it, but no idea where I got it.

Here's an apparition license. There is already a copy of one here, but I wanted to make a version that fit in my identity card. Keep them together, and all that. :)

Here's a blank, and an amusing Snape one as an example of it filled in.

My name is Stacy..I just found this forum while searching for a replica cover for Dark Arts Defence. I am amazed by what I have found here! So many talented people with wonderfully done props!
Of course, I found exactly what I was looking for here..so many thanks to all of you. You are all so generous with your creativity.
I love the Harry Potter series (both books & movies). I have a collection of potion bottles and other assorted homemade props that I use each Halloween to create a sort-of a Diagon Alley magic shoppe. I have added a little to it each year the past 3 years. There is a bit of Disneyland in the mix as well.

I look forward to spending time looking through the older posts here. Again, thanks to all of you for sharing. This is such a nice forum for Harry Potter fans.
I have no idea what I am doing and can't seem to get my pictures to show up. Anybody want to let me know? I tried the "add image" link but it just posted the URL of the web album...no pictures. I managed to get an active link to the album though...https://picasaweb.google.com/104414946496545967655/PotionCupboard?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCKHrr6rloqHoDw&feat=directlink

Hi, 32redsox Stacy! Welcome to the RPF. I'm sure everyone here appreciates your nice comments. There is so much quality work here, and so many talented people. Far too many people take it for granted!

Your Potion Cupboard and Magic Shoppe is completely delightful. You did a splendid job on all your bottles and books, etc, and it really is a charming display! I love seeing how everyone creates their own way of displaying their inspiration from the Harry Potter series! Really cool!:thumbsup

@32redsox Hi Stacy and welcome to the RPF. There are many awesome threads on this forum but this thread is home to the Potter crowd. Like PotionMistress already said your display is truly charming. I especially like your take on the Skele-gro bottle and Wanda's portrait, I also really like your Disney items, expecially the HM spell book ala Madame Leota. Welcome again and I look forward to seeing what projects your working on, feel free to ask any questions we're a helpful crowd.
P.S. For posting images you can put the url into the clickable image box but it has to end with the usual image extension e.g: images/wandasportrait.jpg for it to display. I also had this on file thought you might like it, then again you may have already got it, its a photo of how the spell book appears in front of M. Leota in the Haunted Mansion.

@Potion Mistress and @ElliotStone...Thanks so much for your nice comments! I hope to get some better pictures this year. Thank-you @ElliotStone for letting me know how to post them here. I do have the picture of the Madam Leota book but thanks so much for putting it up.

Do you guys know if it possible to change my user name? I was in a hurry to register and just used our ebay user name. I wish I had a name that was more appropriate for this forum. I love @PotionMistress...that is a good one! :)

Hey!!!
does anyone here know the size of the hogwarts express train ticket. Sorry to bother but I am creating my own Harry Potter props so need a bit of guidance.
Please reply soon.
Regards

@32redsox: Thought you might already have it, your book looks awesome, does it have other spells too? Unfortunately you can't change your username while your a free member you have to be a premium member for that.

@HarryPotter1234: The size of the Hogwarts Express ticket has been discussed earlier in the thread, no idea where but you'll find it with the search feature at the top of the page.

@HarryPotter 1234 and 32redsox: I'd recommend slowly making your way through all our pages, it'll be worth it. Harry Potter props are a marathon not a sprint, so no great rush, you'll be surprised by what you find hidden in the posts and it'll give you a better idea of how the thread runs etc.

@sonicfreak04: With the few ref images that exist of that cover it's hard to piece together, as to my knowledge no one has seen the back, but myself and Lemonlemonuk have been working on it independently and we're both going to the London tour soon so we'll try to get more ref from there to get it completed.
