KellieMarie: So the HP party helping out at is in July. I know the feeling to much to do to little time. What else are you doing for the party?
Norbert...got your PM and am thinking about the ideas...may take me a little bit to shift gears...but I am working on them for you.
As far as what I'm doing for my party...
Platform 9 3/4 sign and House Banners with Pottermore Crests for something different.
Mini frog boxes and Bertie botts boxes (I already posted them for others to use) filled with mini chocolate frogs and Jelly Bellys...maybe Fizzing Whizbees, Acid Pops...
I've commissioned a clay cauldron locally (like the one sold through Pottery Barn last year -http://vintagehalloweencollector.blogspot.com/2010/09/pottery-barn-cauldron.html. I didn't buy it before it sold out in September 2010!!)
I'm making a modified Ravenclaw costume to wear on Monday (Halloween) and then for the parties using the Pottermore crests...oh yea...anyone have a hi-res Pottermore Hogwarts crest?
I'm putting together a bunch of books and Honeydukes candy to lay out as props...
Ordered my invites from ...
Invitation Harry Potter Hogwarts Express by serendipitycreative... I still have to print, cut and assemble..created an envelope for them.
Food...serving irish stew, mini shepards pies with colcannon on top instead of regular mashed potatoes, buttered peas, glazed carrots, treacle tart, butterbeer, pumpkin juice, Elixir of Life (water).
Customizing a Marauder's map from Britta to match my house -
http://www.britta.com/hogwarts/Year6/prep/map/MapWithInstructions.pdf
Creating Hogwarts dishes with a simplified crest with H on them.
I know there's other stuff, but I'm blanking right now...
To quote Willy Wonka... so much time, so little to do...scratch that...reverse it...WHEW!!
