Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

WOW:thumbsup That is a gorgeous job you did on Hermione's Beaded Bag! Absolutely beautiful job. I really enjoyed and appreciate the work you put into that. Awesome!!

:cool

I am working on a Riddle Diary. I still need to burn the cover and scuff the page edges a bit more then add blood and ink stains. There are many versions of the Riddle Diary in pictures. Page 73 of the wizardry film book shows a version with a very burned cover unlike the image from "23 astounding props" listed earlier which is a much smaller less burned hole.

Hello all,
I just joined 2 days ago and I haven't come across something specific I am looking to make. I would like to know if anyone has a tutorial or multiple pics of the Horcrux diary after it was stabbed..perticularly the diary from HBP film while on Dumbledore's desk. Anything you guys might have would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been posting alot lately. Just been super busy so:

bfd: as always, great job with the Quidditch Pitch. I am really going to be thinking of what I will be able to use this great design with :)

goldensnidget: Thanks for the owl treat box, it's fantastic!!

hopefulhp: Great use of the owl treat box. Your owls look very happy to have their favorite treats nearby.

Annaleen: WOW what a gorgeous bag!!! I know you must feel so accomplished to have finished a project that took so long to do and have it turn out so well. Thank you also for the great video. As soon as I saw her bag in DH1 I wanted one and now that I see how much work went into it, it gives me a more appreciative view of it.

Sorry for the double post :$
Does anyone have pictures of Dumbledore's desk?? More specifically, the writing desk that is ontop of it?? I have been wanting to make one of these for years. I think I have enough pictures of the sides and front of it but it is the top of it that I am looking for . There are designs embossed on the top that I am looking for better pictures of.
Thanks so much. I thought if I had a chance of anyone knowing, it would be here :)

Great to see people have been busy with their props lately.

Fantastic job on Hermione's bag AnneleenDV. Your perseverance and dedication to stay with something for a year is remarkable. A labour of love no doubt. And maybe something that will become a family heirloom?

@HopefulHP: thanks for the pictures of the Owl treats display. Looking forward to seeing progress pictures of your Riddle diary. I made a Henry Jones diary from Indiana Jone and the Last Crusade last year, and while I struggled with it as it was my first attempt at making a paper prop, I really enjoyed it and am pretty happy with the result as you will be too I'm sure.

Woozlemom, great to hear from you again. Funny you mention Dumbledore's writing desk 'cause i was just in an antiques store the other day and they had a beautiful portable writing desk from the late 1800's that would have been right at home on the headmaster's desk. Let me know which movie the desk is in and I'll see if I can get you a couple of screen captures.

Anneleen, that bag is gorgeous! It must be such a great feeling to have it turn out so well. I had a similar experience with Ron's dress robes -- I finished them two years ago, and I still get little jolts of happiness whenever I look at them. It was worth every minute of dyeing, painting, and fraying to get them just right. I've given many things away, but they are permanent keepers!

Has anyone done high res scans of the Cannons poster or Screaming Yo Yo label from Ron's Artefact box? If so, I would really love to have them, please. I've made my own yo yo label, but I assume the Artefact version would be higher quality. I've been putting off using mine so far because I only have one round magenta box, so I only get one shot at doing it right. Thanks!

bfd: LOL you and I seem to be thinking of similar projects at the same time. It is very funny because it has happened before only you end up unknowingly giving me the graphics I need before I have a chance to ask and I thank you very much for that :)

Davy: Thank you so much for those pics. It is very helpful as I really haven't found anything yet. I had thought that his writing desk had stayed the same through all of the films but with your pictures I see that I am wrong so I will have to decide which version I want to do. This is going to be a winter project so I am just starting to gather ideas now. The version I had been thinking about was in the first two films. I will have to re-watch the movies and then I can be more specific with my request :)

goldensnidget: Thank you for your your Weasley poster :) As you can see by my avatar, I am a fan of the twins :lol

Wow, Thanks for all the compliments about the bag!
I'm really happy you like it :)
It feels great to get such friendly comments!
It was really worth all the work !
@goldensnidget: I would LOVE to see Ron's dress robes, have you got a picture of it? Wow, that must have been a hell of a job! with all the fraying :)

Thank you! Nice images and prop work of the diary! I will get to work on mine in a day or so. These pics are my first. This is my first of many props.

Thanks, Annaleen. I have photos of some of my non-paper props at http://www.elkinspotter.com. It's my site for a walk-through replica of Diagon Alley that I built in my house two years ago. Ron's dress robes are in the gallery under "The Thrifty Witch." It was meant to represent the secondhand shop where Molly Weasley went, and I populated it with all kinds of odds and ends that didn't fit anywhere else -- Madam Rosmerta's sparkly shoes, Hagrid's mead tankard and umbrella, Celestina Warbeck's phonograph album, etc. Of course, now when I look at those pages, there are so many more things I wish I'd had time to do (or do better). For example, I just found a MUCH better fluffy pink vintage umbrella this summer, with a wooden handle instead of plastic. Of course, it's impossible to do everything perfectly, but it's also wonderful to give your all to a prop that has a special place in your heart. You clearly did that with your bag. :cheers
