I had trouble with that one too, I even did the assassination animation at least 10 times (probably a lot more) but finally got it. Bungie claims the achievement isn't glitched, it's definitely very flakey imo.
Are you playing on easy? You need to be playing at least on normal difficulty.
It's not glitched, there's just a lot of variables taking place in the act that may prevent the achievement from unlocking. I attempted it about 20-30 times, getting about five or six actual assassinations in before I got it. A lot of times I landed on the Elite without killing him and without taking damage, in cases like that the game probably didn't consider it a "fall that would've been fatal", so had I nailed the assassination at that time it probably wouldn't have unlocked the achievement. It really is a case of having everything lining up perfectly.
Also, it helps to turn off the sprint once you're on your way down.
So I watched a bunch more videos and Shade has been walking me through it and I'm pretty excited to play it sunday provided we both have ways of getting to our friends house where he has the huge TV, if not, I'm keeping an eye on ebay to try and get one, but they all keep ending at $47 which I wont pay for any game no matter what it is.
Well I can't afford that, I thought I could but after checking how much money I will have left over because of buying a new Sax Mouthpiece, I will have about $25-$30.
matchmaking is fun with minor flaws.....you can boot people who betray you, but sometimes it is pure accident...they have the rocketfight....if some dumbwit steps in front of your shot...they can boot you from the game..happen twice to me already
Yeah, Bungie added that functionality with Halo 3. I found the functionality glitchy on Halo 3 matchmaking. It worked more often when someone accidently killed you, and infrequently when someone killed you on purpose. Hopefully, it works better on Reach multi-player.
I checked last night and yes, the game was set to easy mode
I remember changing that on Tuesday night when I first played
and when I played ODST I remember the default was set to normal
on that, but I did get some kind of achievement award last night.
I have been playing a bit more aggressively then I usually do
and have smacked down several Brute's and Elites with no reward
Well I am to far into it now to change might as well finish then play it over
in normal difficulty......
Want your opinion
I made the mistake of playing Reach set on easy mode
therefor I was not getting any achievements with the exception of one.
Now I am at the part where I am with another Nobel team member
and fighting a wraith tank. and if I change game play to normal
I loose everything so should I finish on easy then switch to normal
or start over completely on the normal mode,, ?????
