after reading the books, I'm anxious to see how well this coincides with the novel
It could have been from a music composition prior to the video. Can't say for sure though, but I know for the Halo Believe campaign, the piano piece used was "Chopin's Prelude No.15, Db Major "Raindrop"--Alfredo Perl"
But for the actual games, the music is by Martin O'donnald
Yes, the campaign is estimated at 8-10 hours based on skill level. From what I have read the story is supposed to be pretty good.
COD4 wasn't longer than 8 hours and people don't complain about that game.
After playing 3 levels of Reach, it just seems like the same old thing. This wont stop me from playing but I was expecting a little more.

I know how you feel..I was expecting a little more too....The game is better than Halo 3, but this game still lags in a lot of areas...
The first several levels in my opinion sucks....The first five levels are pointless and it seems very repetitive..
It picks up later on..but it has its ups and downs of fun...
I wish they would utilize the other spartans more...They arent used as much...You have a small amount of missions where almost all of them are there with you fighting, but after like 5 minutes you part ways with them...and other levels you just fight with one other spartan...Emile is barely even used in the beginning and throughout the game...I didnt even know what he did throughout most of the game.....You dont know their background stories, and you really dont get to know them throughout the game...
the story lags too.
