Looks like a NERF football to me.

Here's just a quick look at the few Halo bits and pieces that're on my work bench.
The Cortana AI Construct card is almost finished, just need to do a bit of tweaking to the paintjob, but as you can see the Plasma grenade is only just in the first few stages. Hence the horrible looking plaster cast of only half the sculpt painted in all the wrong colours :lol

Yep. I just couldnt wait to get started on it. Still needs some filling and a few minor bits sorted out, then it'll be all ready to paint
Rebuilding that trigger guard sure kept me busy :lol
Blue Realm the gun measures almost 9" from top to bottom and just over 7.5" from end to end. Its from a run that was done here a while back. I'll post some more pics in the morning if you still want to see them.

I think this is the only time I've seen someone tackle cleaning up that gun. They were not pretty when the run was done, I was so peeved with the ones I received I dumped them in the trash. I'm half-wishing that I hadn't now, this thread's got me wanting a decent M6D but man if those guns aren't incredibly uncomfortable to hold. I had to tilt my wrist back as far as it would go just to have the barrel parallel to my forearm. Not a design that had much concern for ergonomics.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've made the mistake of cutting mine up to make semi-workable. It was that or the trash, so I figure why not. They are a pain to clean up and the resin is so soft in the center (its almost like powder really) you have to careful when sanding. The plus side is that that it takes virtually nothing to grind out, but its easy to snap stuff off. One of the oddities of the resin is that it soaks up super glue like a sponge; a smokey, smelly sponge, so that gives it a tad more strength.

They really are a pain to clean up, been doing a lot to it, but having sanded it all back and again ...and again...it doesnt look much better :lol but I'm happy with how its coming together. Just needs painting properly now and I'll be done with it.
I've been working more on the plasma grenade I started and I'm quite please with it. (Apologies for the poor Mobile phone pictures.)
Its sitting there in my Halo display which is taking shape and will hopefully one day surround a Master Chief helmet on that silver stand the pistol's leaning against.

Does anyone know if there are plans/sketches/clear screen caps for the "honor" blades that appear in the beginning of Halo 1 when you choose your difficulty level? (the single or crossed blades over the shield). As some of you may have seen my recent hand ground blades, I'm thinking that it might be a fun project to grind one out of steel or black delrin (not sure what I'd do for the grip though...).
