Gun question, S&W J-frame /B5 PPG related...

Hello all,

Can someone tell me the width of a J-frame gun at the point where it enters the grips? I mean right below the hammer and right behind the trigger guard. I don't have any Pachmyr grips on hand at the moment and need to know for a model I am building. Searching the net hasn't revealed much info.

Didn't use a micrometer, but here are specs from one of my J frames.
