I really wish they didn't do this so quickly, would have preferred fans waiting for the next film to see further adventures of the team. This series could have been done after the second or third film instead.

No big deal really since it probably won't have much to do with the film except for the cast of characters and general design aesthetics. Marvel's Avengers Assemble is a lot like this, there's no real continuity with the movies except for the team roster with the exception of Falcon, and the way most of the characters look.

Avengers Assemble is pretty good, it adheres closer to the comic book story lines than the movies tend to but the character designs are closer to the movies, at least as far as the Avengers we saw in the movies are concerned. Falcon, most of the villains and misc. heroes look more like their comic book counterparts but not exactly. All in all it's an enjoyable series that appeals to both kids and adults.
