Well, if he's aware and made his own research into that individual's shady practices, showing proofs he's a fraudster, then I'm very disappointed

Someone in another Facebook group (not the RPF) recently got a finished Y wing helmet from them. It actually looks really nice.
But I was watching this video on Chaucer's youtube channel from 7 months ago. The inside of their helmet looks disgustingly bad. Same as the images posted long ago in this thread. He still has not improved his casting.

Something that always rubbed me the wrong way was the advertising given to Anovos. I wonder how many people bought the Kylo Ren ensemble, after seeing his video, that have never received it? This is just another case of that, and it is truly a little disappointing. He champions the RPF in a very public way and as such one would expect him to be more careful with those he endorses. It’s as simple as that. I think it’s a little dramatic to unsubscribe from everything, and unrealistic to hope he never shows his face around here again but I suppose if it suits you, go for it.
Adam if you read this man just try to be better about this stuff moving forward. If you have time to research these props and gather reference, you have the time to look into who you’re supporting too.

As a public figure as well as a television and internet sensation, Adam may not have the time to research everybody that offers him stuff either through kindness, or in hopes to use his fame to promote their product. There has been quite a few people, either reporters, politicians or actors that get roped into commenting on something to someone who they didn't know what their motives were or their true identity.
Adam promotes this site, and I'm sure he'll get around to addressing this situation when he has time. I also don't think he gives a rat's arse about him losing support to a few vocal members on here for this transgression.
I think most members here are proud that we have someone on this website, famous, like Adam, who brings attention and validity to what we all do here.
For example:
Me: I'm a member of the Replica Prop Forum.
Family and friends: That's nice. (Or....Who cares)
Me: Adam Savage from Mythbusters is also a member there.
Family and friends: Oh really? Tell me more!

I noticed that in his video as well and had to go back because I thought "Maybe I misheard it?" Nope. Just chill and give him time to respond. A lot of people aren't on here every day. We don't need people like GA getting free press (and unintended endorsement) and screwing more people though.

I'm grateful for this thread in making me aware. I juggle a lot, and things slip through. i have no interest in promoting bad actors, please accept my sincere apologies. I'll do better in the future.
Thank god for patience and cool heads. It's sad how quick the pitchforks and wild assumptions fly off the handle. Not everyone lives on the boards 24/7.
