I am actually very glad I saw this thread. Sadly, the purchase from him wasn't able to be avoided, but at least it makes sense now.
My girlfriend got me a Pepsi Perfect Kit as a gift for me from GA (Don't blame her, she didn't know any better either ). It arrived in the mail, (late) and when I opened it up, I was super happy. The Decal was surprisingly very well made and I was excited to trim off the (exceedingly abundant) excess plastic from the two halves of the vacuum form pull.
It turns out that there actually weren't... two..."halves" per say... more like two 1/3rds. Not enough to make a bottle, that's for sure.
I sent the guy an email, and he was nice enough to look over the bucks and send me a new set of halves (actually halves this time. In fact more than halves so there's a WHOLE lot more trimming to do... I digress).
It turns out that I have a whole lot more work ahead of me than expected to get this thing looking decent. At least I have some sort of parts to work with and a decent looking decal, But I would not recommend doing business with this guy. If something as simple as vacuum forming can be screwed up this bad, and his casts are as screwy as I've seen on here, then it is definitely not worth your time.
If I knew about this recaster beforehand, I would have told my girlfriend to try and get her money back asap. It's still one of the best presents I've ever gotten though, she knew how much I wanted one of those bottles, and it somehow makes it more special since I'm basically building the dang thing from scratch :$.
I know Pepsi Perfect bottles are hard to come by, especially at a good price.
I wish I was around when Gary Weaver was doing his runs :unsure
Save yourself the pain, learn from me, don't order from GA.
