Here's my first print! Well, not first ever, but about the 5th I've made using transparent filament (Ultimaker brand, which is not the most transparent you can buy). I got brave and used as few supports as possible, "lightning" fill, and the transparency is just about perfect for what it'll be. There's a spinning TARDIS that lights up on the 13 Doctor's controls, so this is my attempt at creating it. I took a 3D model from Thingiverse that had an appropriate lantern (solid cylinder/dome), and scaled it up the Z-axis just a bit (about 110% -- sadly Cura crashed but I saved the file for later use and can just measure it otherwise). Now I'll need to create a spinning platform to attach it to, and add a nice LED light that sits in the center, not rotating. But with the light coming through and spinning, it looks pretty close -- even if the original is either resin or glass! Rubbertoe's totally clear model looks amazing, but it doesn't quite refract the same as the one on the show
