Materials and manufacturing costs have skyrocketed in recent years. Combine that with reduced demand necessitating smaller run numbers, and I'm honestly shocked that they're able to offer it at only $400.

The landscape for toys has fundamentally changed on every level. Retail, distribution, manufacturing, demand. We're in a new world.

Shame of it is collectors will pay because of the park exclusive and figures..

It is neither a park exclusive, nor does it contain any exclusive figures. (Whether or not they are on exclusive cardbacks is yet to be seen.)

What I can tell you is that the original release of this product was 2008 and had a MRP of $159.99.

I got mine as Wal-Mart for a price cut around $99.

He is the thing. For some people, the $400 might be a good deal. If you check out recent completed sales on eBay, some people have paid around $400 for a used, no box 2008 model and $500-$900 for NIB box. So for people who really want a big Hasbro MF in their collection, then they are pretty happy about it.

Then there is the other side to this. Does Hasbro/Target have to charge $240 more for this version.

• A few new pieces produced.
• Resetting the manufacturing line for already previously made product.
• Costs difference across the supply chain from 2008 to 2020
• Standard profit margin mark up.
• etc..

I honestly don't know. Just something to think about.

The "Galaxy's Edge Trading Post" line will only be available at a limited number of Target locations. (More than the already limited "Disney Store" Target pop-ups, but still limited.)

If the first preorder was any indication, I don't think these will be sitting on the shelves for very long, but tomorrow morning's follow-up preorder will give more insight into demand. Let's see if it lasts longer than two minutes this round.

What about that Hondo figure? I have not been able to recall that version. It is very different from the one on the Clone Wars cards a few years back.

Otherwise the only real new thing with the Falcon is the rectangle radar dish part. There probable is a few differences in the paint apps which is often the case when the same item is offered in a different run.

But yes. Like I said a few posts ago, these are not items that are made for the Parks (so not park exclusives). These are made for Target. Now there are a couple of figures like the 6" DJ and 6" Hondo that you only could get at the parks as a part of 3-packs but the ability to buy them separately is a Target exclusive.

What about that Hondo figure? I have not been able to recall that version. It is very different from the one on the Clone Wars cards a few years back.

The Galaxy's Edge Hondo Vintage Collection 3.75 figure is slated to be released this fall.

I went to Galaxys Edge yesterday. My son and I had a great time. We rode the Falcon 4 times. Park was at a percentage but not sure at how many. Some places looked packed and some looked very thin. Everyone did wear a mask and kept their distance. I didn't see anyone getting sick, sneezing or coughing. In fact, this is probably the best time to go. If this wasn't pandemic time, that park would have been over run as usual and we wouldn't have been able to do half of what we did.

We hit the Falcon (4×), the first order ride (pretty cool) and went through the star tours and ride. You can look at most of the props and models at launch bay, but the areas that you meet the characters was shut down so any prop in that area was off limits. Hit all the open markets in Galaxys edge which was all of them . 2 restaurants and got the blue milk first and went back towards the end of the day for the green milk. They're really just slushies for the most part. We liked them.

Everything for food or milk stand had to be done on your phone app. Merchandise was also touchless paying. Just tap or insert without using a key pad.

Overall experience was great, and my son and I have a memory together will we never forget.

Some parts of the park were closed. No Indiana Jones, no lightsaber build, about half the stores on main street were not open. Only the big stores.

The people that worked there referred that road to main street. May be its Hollywood Blvd but I dont pay attention to fictional roads. Only to where they lead .

We were just there this week as well. Monday and Thursday. Rode everything multiple times and checked out all the shops. Very fun.
