Galaxy's Edge costumes and prop souveniers

Hey all! I am so excited for this land, EVERY inch of it!!! Does anyone know the cosplay rules? I assume you can dress up because of the clothes they will be selling in-land (Jedi robes, first order uniform etc). I also remember reading blasters will still not be allowed in the park, and will not be sold. I was hoping to wear my Han Solo belt/holster in the park. Any ideas on a clever thing I could keep in the holster instead of my DL-44???

An article posted about the new merchandise offered at Galaxy Edge... some of these items are adult costumes.

A personalized lightsaber? Yes, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will have that (and more)

In there, they state...

Disney doesn’t allow adults to dress in costume at its park, but that’s a guideline Disney is looking into before the land opens, a spokeswoman said.

So there might be some tweaks to the guidelines but I would imagine they would be very strict to what could be worn. I would not be surprised if they sold costumes with warnings about the costumes not allowed to be worn in the parks.

Here are the current rules regarding costumes....

I would be very careful with your idea. Such things could be considered costume layering.

What do you think you could get away with in the park as is? I figured you could probably wear a Han type casual jacket, MAYBE blood stripes, and if not the drop holster part, just the belt part. Then maybe a t shirt?

That sounds okay as long as it in no way looks like a costume. I also think some of Magnoli clothing might work as well. Like the flap shirts and pants but maybe something in a custom color that does not automatically make you think it is a particular costume. I'd be very careful with jackets that look too much like a replica of a costume piece. I'm not sure where the line is drawn.

According to the news video (posted on the laughing place) for at least the first month you will have to make an on line reservation to get into Galaxy's Edge.

So don't go there thinking you can just stroll in.
